Typing this feels unreal, Superman. I never imagined I would have to say, “Rest in Peace.”

Since we were 11 years old, we’ve been stuck with each other. From the days AAU days, sonic trips for the bacon egg and cheese sandwiches before school , even when you would ask to spend the night and have my mom call Mama Stella so you could stay the entire week, those memories will always be gold to me.

My brother, we were supposed to grow old together and watch our children accomplish the things we once dreamed of. I have so many stories, Vee. So many car rides, late-night conversations, moments when we laughed until we cried, and prayers we shared with GOD. I still can’t believe He took you from us so soon. I know I will never be the same.

I can only imagine you up there playing video games with GOD’s unlimited Wi-Fi. 😂

I spoke to you last week. We reminisced about the good old days, and I told you I loved you. I want to tell you one more time: I love you, brother.

We’ve got Mama Stella, Joya, and Baby Nova. My heart is heavy, and I don’t know how I’ll process this in the way you would want me to. As these tears fall, I’m holding on to the message you always stood for:

“Put yourself in position to help your family and the youth.”

A lot of people lost a friend, a coach, a mentor, and so much more. I lost my day one. I lost my brother.

I will carry your memory, your love, and your purpose with me forever. I’ll never forget you, Vee.

Hug your best friend if you can cause I just lost 1 of mine 😞

This was July last year, a rare moment when I was able to tell her I love her, & I heard it back.
