Say hello to Miss Stella Blue!!! Stella here is one of my very first canine good citizen dogs, whom I awarded as a new American Kennel Club Evaluator. She recently completed her training and passed her test with flying colors, and will begin prepping for her advanced test shortly! Thank you, Tracey, for being such a wonderful leader for Stella. I look forward to watching her continue to grow and wow us all over again! taken in American Kennel Club by @chummiestraining

This is Hazel and Cocoa! I completed this commission for @chummiestraining. The owner of these two cuties was so lovely and takes the best care of her doggos. I’ve been loving the pastel pencils. If you’re looking for a special gift or a memento of your furry friend, please reach out. I’d love to capture your furry friend’s unique personality! #pasteldrawing #dogart by @chummiestraining

Dogs can be afraid of the strangest things. Here’s a little tutorial showing how to approach their nervousness! Being calm and nonchalant is the most important aspect of this exercise. If I show sympathy to Chummie when she is nervous, she will take that as me rewarding her apprehension, which will further set her back. Should I make this a series? Let me know your thoughts. by @chummiestraining

“Buster, sit. Buster, sit! Sit! Sit! SIIIIIIT!” No more of that. He may not speak English, but Buster is smarter than you give him credit for. Changing your method of communication is what will really change the game for not only Buster, but also your unnecessarily strained voice. Skip is my nine month old Maltese rescue, and Chummies’ adopted brother. Glad to have him debut! You’ll be seeing lots more of him in the coming weeks. Questions? Feel free to drop me a comment or a DM! by @chummiestraining

Teaching my dog to move in the opposite direction of where I’m standing is not only a valuable command for every day life, but it also builds trust between us which will benefit us when learning more complex things. Chummie learned “place with distance” during the filming of this video. I thought it smartest to show the footage of her in the learning process. Perfection doesn’t happen immediately, but we got her there and it is so rewarding! by @chummiestraining

Hi friends! I’m Ari, and I’m an accredited dog trainer! This is Chummie, my rescue Supermutt, and passion project by association. She’s my best pal! On this page, you’ll find training solutions for common problems, obedience guides, and the occasional fun game or trick tutorial. I’m so happy you’re here with me to watch this project come to life! Please comment or DM to ask me any questions, or to inquire about training with me. And please let your dog know I say hello :) by @chummiestraining
