This Sunday, July 5th, we’re opening the space for a simple community gathering centered around poetry, music, reflection, and awareness.

The evening is inspired by Frederick Douglass’ historic speech, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” — a reminder to keep asking what freedom, justice, and community mean today.

Chung’s will be open with fresh juices, slushies, music, and space to connect.

Vinyl lovers, selectors, and crate diggers — this one’s for you.

Next Wednesday we’re opening the decks at Chung’s for BYOR (Bring Your Own Records) — a laid-back community vinyl session where DJs can sign up for a 1-hour time slot and play their favorite records on our sound system.

No genre rules. Just good music and good energy.

How it works:
• Reserve a 1-hour DJ slot
• Bring your own vinyl records
• We provide the turntables, mixer, and sound system
• Be ready 10 minutes before your set

Whether you’re a seasoned DJ or just want to share a few records, this night is about community, discovery, and celebrating vinyl culture.
