After four years, I’ve shot my last basketball game at LSU.

As I look forward to graduation in a month, I can’t help but think about how bittersweet it is. I’ve been a part of opportunities I never expected, made connections with incredible people, and have witness tremendous growth in not only the people around me, but also myself.

For those close to me, you know how much I love LSU and my home state. This has meant so so much to me, more than most could ever know. I’ve given my all including sleepless nights, tears, and unknown sacrifices in order to try and elevate these women to a platform they deserve. From making videos of the top recruiting class of 23’ to filming for the top transfers in the country to being a main content producer for an elite team, I realize how blessed I am. I’m proud in knowing I have given it my all while here and nothing will ever take that away.

Lastly, I have to shoutout @lerealmgp. That’s my best friend and my twin flame. I’ll always think back to our junior year sitting in my room, in the middle of retwisting my hair. He called me over to do photos for an unofficial visit although I had never done anything like it. Hair half done and all, I came over and took the opportunity. It was a factor to where I am now and for that, I’ll be forever grateful. by @chynnanever

November 1st, 2019, I attended my first LSU women’s basketball game as a freshman. Little did I know the incredible journey that was awaiting for me.

Fast forward to November 14th, 2021, I took my first photo at a basketball game ever as a member of the @lsureveille. Then this year I started working as a recruiting creative content intern.

Today, it baffles me that I get to say I’m a tiny part of this team, but here nonetheless. I’m forever grateful to all the people that have helped me grow to get to where I am today. My gratitude is endless x.x taken in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by @chynnanever

To the Bayou,

It’s surreal to know that my time in Baton Rouge has nearly come to an end. When I came here in 2019 as a 17 year old, I didn’t have definitive direction on what I wanted to do or who I was.

Six years later, I’m amazed at all I’ve been able to witness and accomplish. I met my best friends, I got two degrees, I made some incredible and unexpected relationships, I traveled to unimaginable places, I got to experience championships, I figured out what my passions are and ultimately, I found out who I am.

Even with saying “I”, none of it was done alone. It couldn’t have been done without all of you. If you’re reading this, odds are you’ve had impact on my life in some positive way. Baton Rouge has become my home filled with people I can call family. Every person I’ve crossed paths with has taught me something and for that I’m forever grateful.
