All people are valuable, across the board. A powerful reminder that our worth isn’t defined by our education, our background, or how society treats us. It’s time for a systemic shift in how we value one another.

There’s a moment in every child’s life where the world starts to look a little different. For Reverend McSwine, that moment happened when she was just six or seven years old.

She recounts a day of simple play that ended abruptly, marking her first realization of the social boundaries between Black and white communities. It’s a story about innocence, history, and the lessons we never forget Virginia Living Museum Virginia Union University

BLST 201 Spring 2026 What makes an image 'Black'? Is it the subject, the creator, or a specific style of lighting, rhythm, and storytelling? In this course, we move beyond standard history lectures to experience Black Aesthetics as a living, breathing visual language.#CSUFullyOnline #CalState#CSU

We are so excited for dancer, choreographer, and instructor @iamgiselesilva from São Paulo, Brazil-

Don’t miss the chance to train with one of today’s most dynamic artists. This class is open to the CI community. DM if you would like to attend and you are not a CI student. Space is limited. by @ci_blackstudies
