6/11/2025: My baby boy, my one and only graduated high school at 17 🥹🥹💪🏾💪🏾💙💙💙💙We couldn’t be more proud of this young man! My heart is overflowing with pride and love. I shed tears of joy watching you walk across that stage and it was more than just a moment, it was a reminder of how strong, smart, and determined you are. You did it, and I am beyond proud of you!

From your first day of school to this very day, you’ve grown into a young man with purpose, resilience, and heart. This chapter may be ending, but an incredible new one is just beginning. No matter where life takes you, always remember who you are and how deeply you are loved. I will always be your biggest cheerleader today, tomorrow, and forever…LOVE MOM ❤️❤️🥰🥰

To our village: grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends and loved ones, you made sure AJ wanted for nothing but made sure he was humble, grounded and stayed true to himself. From band, chorus, karate, before and after school care, football, track, after school clubs…showing up and showing out! the list goes on and on. Job well done!! He is an amazing, kind, thoughtful, respectful, authentic young man.

21 classes later, 3.9 GPA, 4X Dean’s list recipient, 2X honor society inductee, late nights & early mornings, full time/part time job, full time mom, life obstacles….but I never gave up and crossed the finish line! 🙏🏾🥂🎊

This degree represents so much more than a walk across the stage. I built my 16 year career in substance abuse and mental health from the ground up. I’ve helped people overcome addiction, while sadly losing others to the disease. I also committed to advocacy, prevention, and helping people heal. The outcomes wasn’t always in my favor, but I still showed up and made a difference.

As I transition into macro social work, my passion for the criminal justice system and bail reform will allow me to fight behind the scenes to create and advocate for change in our communities 💪🏾🙏🏾

To my family, my village, especially my son, thank you for being my motivation, every single word of encouragement when I was tired and wanted to give up! Every prayer, laughs, helping where I needed it the most, I am so thankful! This accomplishment belongs to all of us 💕
