36 years young today.
This week I crossed borders, simplified radically, and started again guided by health, presence, and creativity. I traded city noise for quiet mornings by the ocean. Distraction for movement and listening instead. I’m learning I need to live closer to the elements. Not chasing optics. Not participating in fear-based cycles. I’m here to make music, create community and turn ideas into structures that can make a matieral difference in not only my life but the lives of those around me, and im choosing depth over dopamine. Community over control. I'm building a smaller life with bigger intention. Grateful for everyone still walking alongside me. No hard feelings toward those who drifted sometimes our paths diverge, and that's ok. I’ve also learned that if you don’t design your days, someone else will through their algorithms and a steady drip of suffering that slowly dulls our spark and our magic. Steals our will to form connection slowly by replacing it with a false sense of it instead...through our phones and the violence forced upon us now daily through them. It’s okay to look away, it does not mean you don't care, that you are apathetic or complicit. Clarity is necessary before service is possible. I’m choosing to focus on the abundance of good people trying to make this world better. Here’s to building community instead of scrolling. Creating instead of consuming, and showing up for our loved ones, friends, family, and neighbors even when it feels uncomfortable, not to mention dangerous. Personally I want to imagine a world where radical transformation is actualized through collective liberation from systemic oppression. I envision a new relationship of the human being and the planet where we share resources without exploitation or selfish abuse of the earth. I aim to live in a world where peace, respect, humility, equality, music, art, poetry, love and justice form the core of what constitutes the everyday reality of human existence.

I value the dignity of every individual. I wish to balance respect for the individual with the need to act in solidarity. I am committed to non-hierarchical direct democratic participation, sharing power, nurturing healthy leadership and collective liberation. I believe in commitment and accountability, with radical trust, transparency, and open, respectful communications. I respect and love the Earth. I will recognize and work to reclaim the commons, the shared resources that support the community of life.

I understand that the dominant systems of coercive power active in the world operate through oppression and exploitation of people and resources. I recognize that I have internalized these systems. I am committed to a critical analysis of these systems; and vow to challenge colonialism, racism, sexism, heterocentrism, ableism, ageism, sanism, classism, capitalism, imperialism & patriarchy within myself & my communities. I strive for environmental, social, political, racial, gender and economic justice.

I recognize and support the struggles of those most affected by injustice. I stand in solidarity with those who came before me, & with those who struggle beside me, while reaching out to learn and share. I respect the right of people to choose the means of their liberation & to defend their communities against oppression. by @cia_lsd
