6 weeks postpartum, I signed up for something that honestly felt a little crazy at the time.

Now here I am, 4 months postpartum after my second baby & feeling nothing but proud!!

This wasn’t about a finish time for me. It was about proving to myself that I’m stronger than the doubts in my head. That I can do hard things!!

Just signing up was a big step… but finishing, with only 3 months of training?

This pregnancy has been a long one to say the least. From having to advocate for myself and my baby boy on multiple occasions, to surgery, infections, and even possible termination conversations due to negligence on certain doctors’ parts… to life just lifing in between, these nine months have felt like the longest ever.

But I would do it all over again a million times for him. I don’t know what he’s meant to be in life or what his future holds, but I know one thing for sure, this little boy has already fought through so much before even taking his first breath, and I know God has something special in store for him.

You were worth every tear, every prayer, every single moment. 🤍

On this day you made my nickname Mama Ci into something real 🩷A whole year has passed and it’s been the best year watching you grow up before my eyes. From cooing, to crawling, walking and now talking (or really just telling you off in baby language if you know my girl 😂). It is hard to believe that a year ago today you blessed our lives with so much love, joy & laughter that is genuine and pure. From daddy’s deployment, to adjusting to extended me & you time this past year will be a year I will forever cherish in heart and memory. Together we grew. And as you learned, I learned. It has been so amazing to watch you play and explore the world around you. I always hear parents talk about their children and how much they mean to them, but until you become a parent you don’t realize just how real those words are. Our whole world has forever changed and I never knew how much I could love another person until I met you. It’s hard to believe our baby is already 6 months old! In the blink of an eye, you’ve grown from a fragile newborn to a confident little explorer. we’re raising a glass (of milk) to the many adventures that lie ahead. 6 months of pure joy, growth, laughter, love & endless blessings 🩷

p.s nori will actually be 7 months next week 😂🫣🫢 it took us almost a month to take these pictures because my girl can be a feisty one & I have to work around HER schedule lol iykyk 😅🫶🏾 when she gets older she’ll never know 🤫 by @ciaira__b
