Hi all, benvenuti a ciao monaco interior! 👋🏻

My name is Carlotta and I’m excited to be part of the #instagraminteriorchallenge for the first time!

During my architecture studies I discovered my passion for interior spaces and atmospheres. Five years ago I decided to give interior architecture a try, started working in this field - and never left. 🙃

My passion for Italian and in particular colourful design led me to begin a new adventure starting @ciao.monaco.interior

Along with my inspirations, travels and Munich moments, here I mainly show my vision of interior design - always with a touch of dolce vita. 🌞

Now, I’m excited to see new faces, discover inspiring accounts and I would be thrilled if you would join me on my journey of colorful interior.

Ciao, ciao!

Moods • urban elegance

The very first step after talking to the client about their needs and wishes for the project, is to create a vision of the atmosphere we want to design.

By assembling pictures of interior, materials, colours, textures and objects ciao monaco interior provides a first glimpse of the future space.

January • gennaio

The dark and rainy weekend tempts you to get cozy and browse books. Indirect lights, warm fabrics and stylish chopsticks for the delivered comfort food are my winning team for enjoying winter at home.

Cement tiles • the eternal tiles

This historic building material for floors and walls that were traditionally used in the Mediterranean area, are one of my favourite materials to construct with.

The variety of patterns is endless - from geometric to floral or monochrome.

Its timelessness and longevity allows to design interiors for many years to come.
Would you like to use cement tiles in your spaces?

Color and material inspiration is everywhere - it just takes a closer look at our surroundings.

This photo looks so harmonious and fitting because all the colors work together perfectly.
Neutral and pastel colors paired with a rich red that captures our attention.
At the same time, the many warm tones are balanced by a fresh light blue.

The color world of a snapshots can be perfectly transferred to the interior and form the basis of a color and material concept.

So don't overlook the beauty of our environments and find daily inspiration.

Vintage

Is it the longing for quality goods, personality and wellbeing in our spaces that has let a wave of vintage pieces flood our homes?

Despite this trend movement of the past years, rich colours and Space age have always been my passion.

It’s glossy, rounded and plastic creating wonderful light atmospheres.

What vintage piece do you have in your home?

Rosso Verona is a marble from northern Italy with a characteristic red-orange colour.
This timeless stone is hard to beat in terms of uniqueness and has been an integral part of many interiors in the early 2000s.
Carefully proportioned and combined with industrial materials such as glass bricks or stainless steel, the use of red marble creates a timeless yet cool atmosphere.

Would you like to integrate Rosso Verona to your interior spaces?

Flowers for spring?? Groundbreaking!
Not only “The devil wears Prada” can refer to spring and flowers as an obvious match!
Interior decor objects make small changes with big differences!

Have you ever tried to use a water jug as a vase or an old silver bucket as flowerpot?

Your interior spaces will have the little something we all look for.

Fabrics, fabrics, fabrics - probably my favourite material to work with.

Pattern, colour, material composition and many other factors make this very versatile material an important influencer when creating interior atmospheres.

Visiting specialised fairs not only gives the opportunity to be up to date about collections and zeitgeist, but make my designer imagination run at full speed.

When it comes to good interior design, the focus should clearly be on the needs of the user.

Because only by taking a specific look at the needs a tailor-made room concept can be created that fits for the long term.

Should the room ground you, bring joy or solve everyday problems?
Perhaps everything together?
An initial conversation about the needs and wishes of your project will lay the foundation for good design.
