🇮🇹 La tecnologia controlla. L’esperienza riconosce 🍅

🇬🇧 Technology inspects. Experience recognises 🍅

At our production facility, following an initial selection, the peeled tomatoes pass before the trained eyes and expert hands of our operators. This is the manual sorting stage: each tomato is carefully inspected, and any that do not meet our standards for integrity, colour and quality are removed.

A one-by-one inspection, because behind every can of Ciao - Il Pomodoro di Napoli lies the irreplaceable care and attention of our people.

🇬🇧 A tomato is harvested only once and it has to be done when it's truly ready 🍅

Recognising the right degree of ripeness isn't something you can improvise. It's experience built in the field and it lets you pick the fruit at the exact moment when colour, texture and sweetness are at their peak.

This is exactly what's happening these days here at Ciao - Il Pomodoro di Napoli. Out in the fields it's harvest time and our facilities are working at full capacity. Thanks to the Metodo Ciao, the tomatoes are then transported to the plant and processed within a few hours of picking, so that the fruits' organoleptic qualities stay intact, even inside the can 🥫❤️

The pizza Margherita 💥 at @tonyspizza415 is one of our most popular pizzas on the menu. We only make 73 per day. The reason why we only make 73 per day is because I won the World 🌎 Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy 🇮🇹 on St. Anthony Day back on June 13 2007. St. Anthony Day is like a second birthday when your name is Anthony like mine is. To commemorate that day 6/13, I added the 6 and 1 together, kept the 3 and we make 73 per day. I was born in 1973. I’m superstitious, I am somewhat of a traditionalist and a bit of a numerology enthusiast. When we run out of these doughs, we run out so come early. We still let our dough rise in wood boxes. It’s an old technique which I have followed for over 20 years. It’s the same method I did when I competed in 2007. People bitch about it if they don’t get my Margherita because we ran out and they brag about it when they do. I always say at least they’re talking about it. Here I am making it with @caputoflour @ciaotomatoes & @grandecheesefoodservice Genovese basil 🌿 Sicilian Sea salt 🔥 @stefanoferraraforni ❤️ This is a short little clip of me making this pizza. This pizza of course is very special and brings back a lot of memories. Napoli is a special place and preserving true Neapolitan pizza is so important. It was the first time the US 🇺🇸 won 🏆 in Italy 🙏 #respectthecraft
