Last year I began realizing my intense jealousy of people who felt much more abundant, happy, secure, worthy, purposeful, and alive than I did.

Who were very rich in health, time, and energy because of the way they organized and prioritized life.

I lived in that shadow longer than I should have and it cost me.

It felt easy to believe everyone else was worthy in all forms, but for some reason I couldn’t apply it to myself.

And, there was so much accountability I had not taken for my own life, and changes I needed to make to reflect the values I claimed but didn’t fully live by.

If this year has taught me anything it’s that we WILL be given different flavors of the same lesson over and over (probably increasing in intensity) until we finally get it.

For me and for a lot of us, it’s that (1) we’re inherently worthy (of love, abundance, happiness, and a camera roll that reflects richness of life).

And (2) we’re accountable to our own choices and we can always change, no matter how scary or hard.

I’m grateful for god and for every person in my life who has helped me understand this and find compassion during unlearning and reorientation to worthiness and love.

Specifically my parents, friends, and communities like @selfloverev @convergence.wellness.campout that I’ve posted about before.

Lastly I’m grateful for myself, for being resilient, kind, and open to growth. And for getting rich af in my “poorest” year yet ☺️

Reframe 🙏

The other day I was judging myself while playing guitar, so naturally these two pictures were pushed to help me see more objectively.

From there it became a practice with any emotion or memory that felt difficult - can I ask sincerely to see this from a different perspective.

There are two ‘sides’ to any thought (fear and love), and an infinite number of lenses and angles through which to view it (all falling somewhere on the spectrum from fear to love).

In the search for truth - LOVE is the universal truth ❤️

Last year the Convergence community @convergence.wellness.campout welcomed me with open arms. Every day was a “choose your own adventure” of workshops, music and so much more magic than I could have ever imagined.

I remember the feeling of “finally” - it feels like we are HERE... Not on phones, not preoccupied with getting the next drink or substance, just here with each other and the music.

It starkly contrasted a lot of music events I’d been to in the past where dissociation is unfortunately prevalent.

My body could fully receive the music and I have vivid memories I’ll never forget.

To be a recipient and a contributor to this collective is a gift not taken for granted!

This year it is the sincerest honor that I will get to share the stage with the artists on these next few slides 🙇🌈🎧

Big thank you to @derekabt @dreamstorealitymusic for playing such a huge role in facilitating my journey with music this year. And of course to @heard_mama for this opportunity and her year-round work to create the most joyous function IN ALL THE LAND!!! 🎉🎶 by @ciaramiz

🪩🌳 First festival ecstatic dance ✅🤩

Still overflowing from the magic in the DRMA dome! Thank you to everyone who smiled so big and danced, played, rested, existed in the space.

What feels important to share is how quickly this happened - a year ago me would not believe you if you told her she’d be playing at Convergence!!

That’s on DRMA @dreamstorealitymusic and @convergence.wellness.campout for believing in me and giving me the tools, accountability, support and honestly love, to make this happen. And for the version of me who said YES to some “delusional” dreams 🤠

Let's dig into our primal sides with our toes in the grass and beatz all around us! Join myself, Erin of Lifted Spiritss and Ciara AKA DJ DAYDR34M on Sunday Oct 4th from 12-3pm for a afternoon of connection with oneself, with nature and with each other.

Picture this, circle up on private land for a cacao ceremony & primal meditation from Lifted Spiritss with live plant music straight from real plants with a plant music device, shamanic drum and our breath.

Then while the cacao brings us up, the beatz from DJ DAYDR3AM will perfectly perk you up, until you're in your own zone, dancing to the rhythm of your heart and connecting to that ancient primal BEAT within.

The energy will peak, and after it's slowed down to almost a stop, we'll venture inward and down to the ground to sink deeply into a soundscape journey from Erin and crystal bowls, shamanic drum, wind gong, chimes, and more instruments.

Oh yes my friends, LET'S GET FERAL!!

✌️Round 2! Here we gooooo! 🌳🪩

My why:

I play to honor my younger self who absolutely knew who she was and had no qualms expressing it 🥲

I play for the versions of me (and for others) who at times lost that spirit in the interest of conforming to what was more accepted. Who felt undeserving of play. Who went through dark nights of the soul where play simply didn’t feel available.

I facilitate play via discussions and activations for adults to help us recover our natural state of joy and be fully expressed, playful beings ✨

What I’ve learned about play in the last year is…

It does not want to be forced, rather, NOTICED and invited in.
Being playful doesn’t make you irresponsible or avoidant.
IMHO play needs to be bumped up on the list of what we think of as wellness practices.
Work can be play and play can be work.
No matter what someone’s lived childhood looked like, every soul has a part that longs to engage in play.
Not only is everyone’s going to look different, it may also change every season, day, and moment.
Play is not frivolous!
Everyone DESERVES to play. To create. To explore. To be curious.

(Super recent candid “summer camp” pic feels like the very best way to also honor my current adult self and the year she’s had… as I hope we ALL may do! 🫶🙏)

Grateful as can be for the journey and COMMUNITY 🫂

🎗️He can and he will!🎗️

This mashup is for Harvey! My best friend’s sweet boy.

He and his family have had a celebratory year following his diagnosis, surgeries and chemo to shrink his tumor.

Recently he’s started falling more and an MRI showed a new cyst and tumor growth.

Prayers and good vibes are requested for this incredible family who put so much goodness and love into the world.
