to the city that made me who I am today—

your inspiration never fails but flourishes

riding bikes throughout Brooklyn brings me back to being a kid, but also back to being 25

showing you off to my lover was inviting him into a big part of my world, offering insight as to my habits, pace, and creativity

thank you for feeding us, housing us, and bringing us to people we needed to connect with

I’m forever in awe. 29 years of life, 29 years of knowing you, and you never cease to wow me.

we made memories that will last a lifetime. I already miss you so much, New York. But I know you’re always there, waiting with open arms.

I love you. I love this city. I love the people who call it home and make their voices heard and art felt. No one compares to you. taken in New York City by @ciaugiann

grateful for flowers and the people who teach me the art of floristry—forever a student.

if you would’ve told me two months ago I’d be doing this I wouldn’t believe you. this is a dream. taken in Wilmington, North Carolina by @ciaugiann

showing face cuz it’s my bday 🌟

reflecting on 28 and wow what a year. two wonderful things happened this year: I fell in love with the most lovely man and I fell in love with ceramics.

looking ahead at 29, I want to create more, connect more, and consume less. this year feels very transitional, not only because it is my last year in my 20s, but also because of the changes I will be making to grow even more. by @ciaugiann

After many firings, and hours of work, I finally got a lidded jar that is stuck together. 🙃

This is the beauty of ceramics. While I strive for imperfection, and artistry > craftsmanship, I do still value quality and functionality.

While I’m a little sad about this guy, he showed me a lot about working with palladium and lidded jars in general. Another lesson is another win! 🌟 by @ciaugiann

For my Instagram-less bestie, Daniela. She’s given me sisterhood for the last five years we’ve known each other, especially in this very interesting season of my life.

The least I could do was make her a beautiful altar. 🌟

I accidentally took 3 weeks off from work. 🙃

Annnnnd most of that time will be spent in the studio. Hopefully finishing these pieces up by mid January! 🌟

The wire on my pieces is meant for charms I attach after all firings, from pearls to metal beading I want them to be art before functional pieces—but some will be both!

Lastly, I’ll be having a mini (like ten pieces max) drop February 6. Shipping will be available for friends who aren’t local.

I’m super excited for it! Which piece are you hoping to snag? taken in Bookworm Pottery by @ciaugiann

Yes, they’re imperfect! 🌟

Made my first set of mugs for my home. My purpose was for them to be similar enough to identify as a set, but wonky and functional.

Each mug was a lesson: oops, I made the bottom a hair too thin. Oops, I should’ve trimmed the top so it was more concave. Oops, I should’ve applied more underglaze to all of the stars.

And that’s how I wanted it. I love them so much. I’m currently drinking a matcha out of one 🤭
