CDJ reconnaissance mission with @cigi_k 🫡 getting familiar with the playground ahead of Perth DJ Hub x Disorder Selections.

Massive shoutout to Bluey for giving us the tour and showing us what does what 🫶

I can't believe it's been 1 week since @yourshotau Perth !! The comedown after the high of the weekend and sadness at the end of months of such a fulfilling and wholesome experience are still so real.

What was meant to be "a bit of fun" learning a new skill has given me so much more than I expected or knew I needed. Yes, I've learnt the basics of DJing but the genuine/fun/supportive/inspiring community and confidence in myself that this experience has given me, is what has made this so incredible and dare I say it, life changing. From @kitchendisco_dj becoming instant friends (for life!), to meeting the beautiful (inside and out) tutors @djwheresholly @destic__ @michaelcairdmusic, to my emotional support group (aka classmates) @dimmer.au @atlantanemusic @imogen___joness @bonezii__ @djm.x.l @vava.vox @cl30o @layla.syrr and everyone from the YS cohort that cheered me on, hyped me up and kept me going ... I am forever grateful!

aaand that's just the people I met during the competition, those I've met since (because of this one awesome thing I decided to do on a whim) are just as incredible!

Thank you @yourshotau for curating and offering this once-in-a-lifetime experience, @smirnoffau @jblaustralia @alphathetaaus @redbullau for making it possible, @thehenhouse @thecourtperth for giving us the space (and production!) and @perthdjhub for having us for countless hours of practice.

Wish we could rewind and do it all again. 🩷🥳

Practice and study, make mistakes, learn what works and what doesn't.
