On my way to Palcoda...
One of the most beautiful walks I did when I was a month in the mountains of northern Italy. Walking to a ghost town; Palcoda, I didn't meet anybody along the way. Completely alone surrounded by rivers, mountains and the beginning of autumn colours.

I really enjoy creating textures for monotypes. Using brushes, wet wipes, cotton buds and even the palms of my hands, I build up the image layer by layer :) Nervously watching the printing press to see what will roll out of it. 🍎🐛
Ps: I have this as an A2 poster, if you want one, send me a DM :)

💚 by @cildevylder

In Tunis the streets are filled with cats, a woman hands us cookies to taste. When I sketch the market, a man brings me tea. The bread you eat is kneaded right before your eyes. The women take clay out of the mountains and show you how to make a duck, a fish, a bowl. In the house we don't speak the same language but we play music together.

Thank you @annekarobeyns to take me with you on this trip!

Thank you @darmeso_artist_residency for taking us along to wonderful, inspiring places!

Thank you to all the kind people I met along the way! taken in Tunis, Tunisia by @cildevylder

🌿 @cildevylder 🌿 BOEM#4 : Disappearing ⏳

“If you walk long enough into the woods and mountains
It will feel like you could just as well – be not there at all
When you for miles – don’t meet any stranger or friend
When even birds don’t seem nearby
You’ll only notice your own existence by the ripple your feet make when you walk through the water, the imprint of your foot sole in the mud, or your hand resting on a branch with moss.
But soon enough you’ll also disappear behind you, and before you, you don’t exist yet.
So you’ll only exist in the presence of yourself. This tiny dot, a square feet in the landscape
If you walk long enough into the woods and mountains
It will feel like you could just as well – be not there at all”

This october I'm participating in Drawtober! Inspired by #peachtober #mosstober #apaperaday I made my own prompts list. Feel free to join and use my prompts as inspiration <3
Challenge Guide:
🖍Every day of october I will make a drawing with the prompt of the day
🖍 I will share what I made in a story
and collect them in a post at the end of the week
🖍 If you use one of my prompts, use #drawtobercil or tag me!
🖍 I hope I can stick to this! Fingers crossed!
🖍 Perfection is overrated! Just go! (telling this to myself)

A one page comic about the forgetful mind of a squirrel, in search of the hiding spot where he put his acorns and nuts.
It was so much fun watching squirrel video's for this!
