Punching is an easy technique using an Oxford punch needle and yarn. Punching works up quite quickly and is suitable for making cushions, hangings or rugs. All equipment can be purchased at the workshop. Suitable for beginners to experienced. by @cillacameronrugmaker1

Autumn Hook In
Date: October 3rd and 4th 2026
Venue: Patchings Art Centre -www.vantomvillage.com
Oxton Road Calverton Nottinghamshire
Patchings is a 40acre site with old farm buildings used as an art centre, cafe and beautiful walks in the grounds. Accommodation is also available on site and in the surrounding villages.
The new owners are updating the shops on site.
I will be putting together an information sheet and booking form over the next week.
This will be a relaxed few days where you can hook punch or prod and enjoy meeting other rug makers.

Are you Interested in coming to an Autumn 2 day ‘Hook in’ in Nottinghamshire England 2026..It will be a time to meet other rug makers, time to Hook Punch or Prod…. There will be Rug Making equipment to purchase. Have a cuppa and have a fun time.
It’s always lovely to meet up with other rug makers.

My latest rug just finished.

The Door Mat hooked rug.28"x28". Designed by Cilla Cameron inspiration from Neurographic Art. Hooked on hessian using mostly recyled wool material some hand dyed and some as is. No one wants to stand on it 😂..

My latest project “Door Mat Fun” designed and hooked by Cilla Cameron. I love these rug patterns made from doodles, scribbles, circles, loops and swirls.. inspiration from neurographic art.
