It’s a new week, and some of us have decided to take our stress management to the skies. 😂✈️ And, yes, I will almost always choose the window seat! One thing I love about it is the opportunity to look outside, admire the sky, and remember just how amazing God’s creation is. The clouds, the endless sky, the beauty of the earth from above. 😍 Sometimes, you just need to step away from the noise of everyday life to appreciate the things you’re usually too busy to notice. And if we’re talking about God’s amazing creations, let me not be left out. Of course, He did a good job with me too, please! 😜🤭 But on a more serious note, as we step into a new week, remember that you have a part to play in how your week unfolds. Show up. Do the work. Make the calls. Take the opportunities. Do what is within your power, and trust God with what is beyond it. You don’t have to control every outcome to make meaningful progress. Some Mondays come with a very clear plan. A post can take minutes to publish and hours of thinking to get right. 🙂 If you think social media management is just posting, you’re only seeing the last 10% of the work. The post is what you see, but the work starts much earlier. Before content goes live, there’s the business and audience research, strategy, planning, content mapping, creative direction, copywriting, brand voice, scheduling and more. Then there’s what happens after publishing: comments, DMs, performance, adjustments, client feedback and the occasional “Can we tweak this?” 😂 To the client, “It’s just 15 posts a month, so how hard can it be?” But realistically, it’s brainstorming, strategy, research, planning, content mapping and creation, copywriting, community engagement, optimisation, tweaks, changes, adjustments and repeat. And the number of posts isn’t really the point. Different businesses have different content needs and packages. What matters is that the content has a reason for being there. After 7+ years in the digital and creative space, we’ve learned that professional social media management is about much more than keeping a feed active. It’s about making thoughtful decisions around how a business shows up online. Your audience sees the finished post. They don’t see everything that went into it. And honestly, that’s how it should be. There is a kind of tiredness that comes with adulthood that sleep does not always fix. It is the tiredness that comes from responsibility. From being the one people depend on. From running a business, carrying expectations, making decisions, figuring things out and waking up every morning wondering what needs to be done next. Sometimes you even start questioning yourself. “Am I doing enough?” “What am I getting wrong?” “Why does everything feel so exhausting?” And the truth is, I do not always have the answers either. But there is one thought that keeps bringing me back whenever I feel overwhelmed. God still has a purpose for my life. The fact that I am still here means there is still something ahead of me that I have not experienced, something I have not done, someone I have not helped, something I have not built, a life I have not yet lived. I may not know exactly what that looks like. I may not even feel particularly strong on some days. But I know this much: I am still here. 🙂 And maybe that is sometimes the reminder we need. You do not have to have everything figured out today. You do not have to know exactly how the next chapter will unfold. Take a breath. Do what you can today. Rest when you need to. Then wake up and try again. There is still purpose in your being here. In this corner, I’m basking in God’s words! 🥰 He said: I shall direct your path. I know the plans I have for you. I will strengthen you, help you and uphold you. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in. And when I look back, I can honestly say, He has been faithful. Even in the seasons when I did not understand what He was doing, He was still working things together for my good. So, yes, I am not trying to figure everything out by myself. I am trusting the One who already sees the full picture. This was not a meeting. It was not content planning. It was just a conversation with an amazing woman and I’m so privileged to call her my aunt @shekesonia (oh, she wasn't expecting this post and tag) 😁 I have learned that some of the most meaningful clarity in life comes from sitting down, listening, and allowing people to speak without fear of judgement or interruption. Not every conversation needs a solution. Sometimes people just need to feel safe enough to be honest. I believe growth starts with understanding. Understanding yourself. Understanding others. Understanding when to speak and when to listen. This year, I am choosing more real conversations. Less noise. More presence. Because when people feel heard, they grow.
