**5 Sundarikal** (2013) is an acclaimed Malayalam romantic drama anthology film. An anthology is a single movie that is made up of multiple short stories. This unique film is directed by five talented directors: Shyju Khalid, Sameer Thahir, Aashiq Abu, Amal Neerad, and Anwar Rasheed. It features a massive and popular star cast including Fahadh Faasil, Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly, Biju Menon, Kavya Madhavan, Isha Sharvani, and child actor Anikha Surendran.
The movie tells five different, touching stories about love, each focusing on a different type of woman: a little girl, a smart stranger, a devoted wife, a tall bride, and a loving partner. The stories take the audience through different emotions, from the innocent and heartbreaking tale of a schoolgirl named Sethulakshmi to a fast-paced thriller night involving a businessman and his caring wife, Aami. Instead of standard, cliché romance, the film beautifully shows how love can bring joy, mystery, surprise, and sometimes even unexpected tragedy into ordinary lives.

The story revolves around childhood best friends Arjun (Ashok Selvan) and Anu (Ritika Singh), who impulsively get married out of comfort rather than romantic love.
