“Do what you love and you will never work a single day,” they say.

I’m not sure that’s entirely true, hospitality is certainly work! But I do believe the things we love have a funny way of finding their way back to us.

When I was 16, I spent my afternoons working at my favorite flower shop in my hometown, Glendale Flowers.

I wasn’t a designer. I worked in flower prep: refreshing buckets of water, conditioning stems, organizing the cooler, and taking care of all the little jobs behind the scenes.

And I loved it.

Flowers never really left my life. Over the years, they’ve become part of the layers of Cima Rosa…a small, thoughtful touch that continues to bring me joy.

And that’s one of the things I love about hospitality. It has given me a place to bring together so many of the things I’ve always loved…flowers, interiors, cooking, art, and creating beautiful experiences and weave them into my everyday life.

Maybe a career doesn’t have to be just one thing.

Maybe, in the end, it can be a collection of all the things you’ve loved along the way.

I’m pretty sure 16-year-old me would never have believed that one day I’d be prepping flowers on the Grand Canal in Venice… taken in Cima Rosa by @cimarosa

Ci sono momenti che non hanno bisogno di parole. Le immagini raccontano già ciò che abbiamo vissuto😍.

Una domenica mattina presto a Venezia, quando il sole accarezza ancora con la sua parte più gentile, ci siamo ritrovati nel Giardino Segreto di Cima Rosa. Un momento per ritrovarci, meditare e lasciarci accarezzare dai gesti gentili di Cultum.

Quel giorno ho visto e sentito con chiarezza la vera missione di Cultum✨.

Non creare semplicemente prodotti, ma coltivare bellezza insieme. Come un gesto di cura. Come un tempo da condividere. Come qualcosa che, anche quando finisce, continua a restare dentro.

Grazie a chi ha scelto di esserci 🧡.

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of meeting the incredibly talented photographer Robyn Lea while she was in Venice working on a very special creative project.

She has a remarkable gift for seeing beyond a place’s beauty and capturing its soul. This short film perfectly reflects the quiet atmosphere, timeless patina, and gentle rhythm of our little secret corner of paradise on the Grand Canal.
