5 years ago today I released “twenty something” into the world… it was both the most difficult & most rewarding thing I’d done to date 💓 And I’d do it all over again if I could 🥰

Thanks to each one of you who read it & championed it & sent it to friends or daughters or coworkers or sisters. It’s my very heart in written form… so happy 5th, my gal 🎀

Hey palssss 👋🏽

… Been takin a couple months off from the ‘gram & honestly it’s been kinda great but ya can’t keep me away forever 🤗

… Some fun stuff that happened: officially became a pastor (wild 🤯), dyed my hair dark (again), hiked the entire Grand Canyon (kinda), Arizona’d a lot (prettyyyy), bought a nice lil house (not really), wore too many hats (no such thing), got too many flowers (definitely no such thing), won a game show (🥇), werk, werk, werked (🤓), met a very very cute… pink bear (aw), took some risks (🤗), ate some cookies (naturally), and laughed and cried and learned a lot (classic girl stuff)…

But mostly… yay life, yay springtime 🌷☔️ taken in April by @cimbercummings

Well 2023 seemed to be all kinds of wild & weird & wonderful wrapped up in one…

It showed me starting over & leaving a lot of people you love is really hard, and it’s ok to let that stuff matter…. because we can hold both hope for what’s to come & sadness for what’s gone at the same time 🫶🏽

Most of it wasn’t perfect, but a lot of it was the hard kind of good, & I’m grateful for new growth in a new place that I love… & mostly, for the gift of God’s friendship & faithfulness 🤍

Welp, I’ve moved… again! lol 💓

Coco Chanel said when a girl changes her hair she changes her life, and shoot, turns out she was right ‘cause blonde me’s back and officially a Tennessee gal now?!? Okayyyyy 🎉 Also apparently I only have one pose (✌🏽)

Just landed here in Franklin, TN to finally start pursuing my country music career 🎵 and ok, ok, we all know that’s not true hahaha 😌

👉🏽 BUT, I seriously could not be more excited & grateful to be taking over as the Leadership Institute Director for the incredible @rhccfranklin . I’m just so humbled by this whole opportunity & God’s so funny with how He works things together 🙌🏼

Here are my latest thoughts if you’re bored & wanna read more:

• All my out of town (or in town) peeps, come visit me! I’m serious, do it 🎉

• If you think prayer’s cool, I could use some because moving is exciting but hard and I’d love prayers for wisdom, flourishing, & community in this new city, new season, & new role 🫶🏽

• All my college/post college peeps interested in full-time ministry (or considering it), hit me up so I can tell ya all about our Residency & Internship opportunities here (yes this is me already recruiting- no shame) 😉

• I live across from an ice cream shop + coffee shop now so wow this is either the best or worst thing that’s ever happened to me 🫠 (best)

• The past several months have been wild and emotional, and hard but good, but here’s what’s sticking with me: If you’re in a season of waiting and wondering (and gosh, who isn’t), I’ve been reminded lately God gifts us with His presence first, which is ultimately the better gift. And at the time He sees fit, He will send provision, in one form or another. But the greatest provision is His presence, because only it provides the fullness we’re really seeking 🤍

Ok pals, well… thanks for reading this short novel haha. Both my brain and arms are kinda tired ‘cause moving boxes is a killer so remember always lift with the legs not the back 🙄 Love yall, mean it. taken in Franklin, Tennessee by @cimbercummings

Callin this one: “there’s no such thing as too sunny” ☀️

Some time with my pals last week reminded me there’s a lot we have to do these days to intentionally care for ourselves, especially inwardly- and being with your people is just one of those things.

And taking a break from these crazy little online places for a while to more intentionally listen to the Lord is a small way that helps me do that too… 🤍

It always feels kinda dumb to say: “hey, I’m taking a break on here…” as if anyone really cares or even notices lol (they don’t), but hey, that’s what I’m gonna do for a while.
