For the past 7 months, CinSei has been operating out of a temporary garage space to test the vision.

Because of your support, we’ve officially signed the lease on our first permanent home.

As we transition into this next chapter, we’re looking to expand inventory, bring on staff, and make key improvements to the new space so we can serve you even better.

We’re launching a $10,000 community crowdfunding goal to help support this growth.

Reaching that number would be incredible but CinSei’s future doesn’t depend on it. We’re building this either way. Every dollar simply accelerates the vision and goes directly toward strengthening your favorite spot for manga and matcha 🫶🏾

Nothing was given. Everything was earned.

To everyone who’s supported us, believed in us, and shown us love over these last 11 months, thank you. More than anything, we’re grateful for the respect we’ve earned along the way.

Thanks to @jobsohio we are able to provide free matcha to @blacktechweek attendees on Thursday July 16th from 8am-noon.

This time last year, we walked around Black Tech Week on Day 1, and nobody knew what we were cooking up…

Then later that night, Cincinnati Magazine dropped an article announcing an upcoming manga & matcha café coming to the city.

When we came back on Day 2, everyone who recognized us had a thousand questions.

Fast forward exactly one year.

Now we’re back at Black Tech Week, this time as a vendor, serving our matcha. And, in a full-circle moment, Cincinnati Magazine has featured us again, as one of the top matcha shops in the city.

Some of us didn’t discover anime.

Anime found us at 4 PM on week days or 7 PM on Saturday night

Before streaming. Before algorithms. Before everyone knew what anime was. There was one place that quietly introduced a generation to worlds bigger than our own.

This tote is a love letter to the fans who rushed home after school, stayed up a little too late, and unknowingly started a lifelong obsession.
