I don’t come across Mopane flutes very often. 🔥😱

At exhibitions, most of the wooden flutes I see are made from grenadilla, so I was curious to finally try the @sankyoflutes Mopane especially with its 18K gold mechanism.

I was surprised by how rich and resonant it felt. I don’t usually get that same sense of depth from wooden flutes, and this one also felt a little easier to handle than others I’ve tried. I only had a short time with it, but it left me wanting to play more, especially some Baroque pieces. 😝

Have you ever had the chance to try a Mopane flute?

Every day, i’m truly grateful. sometimes i just stop and think about how far i’ve come in the past three years since i decided to go all in on my biggest passion: creativity through music. i opened my mind to the world, started looking for new possibilities, and trusted that little voice in my head telling me there was more out there for me. somehow, my concerts, masterclasses, creative management, and lately, my workshops have all become things i deeply care about and get to build my life around. it’s crazy to think how much can change when you finally trust yourself and go for what you love. ❤️ #classicalmusic by @cincibaglyas

Can a different flute bring out a new colour in your sound? 🤔

I tried the Altus A13PG and was struck by its bright, shiny sound. The flute features a 958 silver tube with platinum plating, 18K gold-plated keys, and an S-cut headjoint. @altus.flutes

It felt powerful and responsive, with a quick projection. I also felt I could put more air into it. Double tonguing took a little more effort than I’m used to, though the S-cut gave it a familiar starting point.

This was just a quick trial, so I’d need more time with the A13PG to get to know it properly…🤗

What does it feel like to be part of Juilliard’s growing presence in China?

In this Mini Podcast episode 16, we sit down with Professor Gergely Ittzés, flute faculty member at The Tianjin Juilliard School, to hear about the school’s growth and his experience as part of its community. He shares a little about how the Tianjin campus came to be, what it’s like to teach and make music there, and gives us a sneak peek into life on the team.

Born in Hungary, Ittzés is an accomplished flutist, educator, and composer whose work spans solo performance, chamber music, and innovative flute techniques. The Tianjin Juilliard School is Juilliard’s branch campus in China, with graduate and pre-college music programs. Its Pre-College division launched in 2019, followed by Graduate Studies in 2020.

International Flute Competition, Guangzhou 2026 🔥🇨🇳

This kind of journey is always an adventure…A lot of work, sacrifices, energy, and probably more hours than you want to count. Preparing for a competition like this takes so much out of you, but somehow, it’s always worth it! No matter what the result is, because the work you put into it stays with you. The experience, the discipline, the things you learn about yourself and your playing, all of that stays long after the competition is over.

I really enjoyed these two weeks in China. I met so many new people, made new friends, built new connections and got to see another side of the flute world. It was a really special experience for me.

And of course, I learned my lesson, as always. I think that’s one of the most important parts of these journeys: taking everything with you…the good, the bad, the positive and the negative. You never know what you’ll need from an experience later on, or where the next step will take you.

So, whatever the result, I’m grateful for the work, the experience, the people I met and everything this journey gave me. ❤️

First time trying this model, and I fell in love!!!

I’ve been searching for a long time for a piccolo that feels free, like the flute. You might disagree, but I personally like having a bit more support from a metal instrument. I never really thought about getting a metal piccolo until I tried this model from @sankyoflutes

When I tell you it RESONATES like crazy 🤯🔥 And the articulation is 🔥

For solo piccolo, this has definitely become a must for me…

The specifications I found:
P-401N: Sterling silver headjoint, body tubing and mechanism — but this particular piccolo is 20K gold plated 🔥

I still can’t believe I got to experience Hans Zimmer Live!!! 🥹🔥

I’ve always had such a deep love for movies and especially the music that makes them so unforgettable, so this was honestly such a special experience for me. The music, the atmosphere, the whole night… absolutely unbelievable!!!!!

Thank you so much to @veronika_vitazkova for having me ❤️ This is definitely going to stay in my Top 5 concerts ever.

And of course, The Lion King…..🦁❤️ My absolute favorite…. And when I tell you i had tears in my eyes… 😭 Hearing that music live was just something else🔥

Things you probably didn’t know could make traveling SO much more comfortable! I travel pretty often, so long flights are also a big part of it. Tomorrow I have an 11 hour flight ahead of me and I just want to be as comfortable as possible 😂

These are the extra things I bring with me as a content creator + musician:

📱 iPad — I don’t really like using my laptop on the plane because there’s just no space. My iPad is perfect for watching movies, editing videos or doing some score study.

🎧 Headphones — a MUST. And if you have noise cancellation on a plane… even better.

📹 My vlogging camera — I usually vlog my trips and I spend sooo much time at the airport, so I always end up creating some content while waiting…

📱 Tripod — if I want to film something with my phone, it’s just so much easier. My KraftGeek stand is always with me!!

😴 Travel pillow + eye mask — for maximum comfort because I’m trying to sleep as much as possible 😂

🧦 Compression socks — also a MUST for me. I wear them a lot anyway, but especially when I’m traveling for a long time.

🌿 Ashwagandha — I personally like taking it when I travel and want to feel a bit more relaxed.

💤 Melatonin — for sleeping. I gotta take the whole bottle and sleep like Sleeping Beauty until the end of the flight 😂

🍿 SNACKS!!!!!!!!!! — do I even need to explain this one?
