Dr. O’dell Moreno Owen’s touched the lives of many, including our Vice Mayor of Cincinnati, Jan Michele Lemon-Kearney.

Join us in celebrating Dr. O’dell and endowing his scholarship. His scholarship helps first generation students continue on to higher education.

Scholarship recipients often have never met or even know the person whom their scholarship is named after. At Cincinnati scholarship foundation we want to change that.

Lately we have shared stories of impact about Dr. Odell Owens for our upcoming celebration to help endow his scholarship. Today we hear Part 1 from his daughter, @morganangeliqueowens

Here at the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation we are proud to have the Dr. O'dell Owens scholarship. Over the past years. this scholarship has helped first generational students from schools in the Greater Cincinnati area further their education.

🥳On May 31st at the Cincinnati Masonic Center from 5:30 - 8 pm we invite you to support this scholarship and help us endow it so it can help others in the future.

To make sure you don’t have to choose between supporting Celebrate Dr. O’dell Moreno Owens Cincy Style and enjoying the Queens of Legend Concert, we’re moving our fundraiser start time earlier!

Join us for the pre-party BEFORE the party—complete with cocktails, camaraderie, and a complimentary shuttle to the concert. Lots of food, fun, dancing and drinks!

This special event is dedicated to continuing Dr. Owens’ work, ensuring that first generation students with financial need from Cincinnati Public Schools, Covington Independent, and Newport Independent Schools have the opportunity to pursue higher a education.

Join us in making a difference. Your support will help endow his scholarship at the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation and keep his legacy alive for generations to come!

You can purchase:
-a VIP ticket and enjoy an open bar (4:30-5:30 pm), two drink tickets and a shuttle to the concert OR

The Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation presents 'Celebrate Dr. Odell Owens Cincy Style'!

Dr. Owens was a pillar in the community and abroad and always sowed back into the next generation. He began this scholarship with the help of @interactforhealth to help first generation students further their education. This exciting celebration is to help continue his legacy and the endowment of this scholarship.

In 2021 Dr. O'dell Moreno Owens established the Dr. O’dell Moreno Owens Scholarship Fund at the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation to support
the very youth he devoted his life to uplifting. Following his untimely passing in 2022,
his vision remains unfinished—his scholarship is not yet endowed.

Join us as we celebrate the life and lasting impact of Dr. O’dell Moreno Owens and help raise the funds to continue his work, ensuring that first generation students with financial needs from Cincinnati Public Schools, Covington
Independent, and Newport Independent Schools have the opportunity to pursue
higher education.

Welcome Vanessa Kurtzer to the CSF team!

Vanessa serves as CSF’s Associate Director and is responsible for outreach and collaboration efforts with High Schools, Colleges, Universities, community non-profit partners and corporations. Her strengths are strategic relationship management, fundraising development and building donor relationships and has years of experience in the Greater Cincinnati community non-profit sector. She has a natural ability to connect with High School students and young adults. Vanessa is passionate in partnering with youth and helping them with see their full potential to thrive in either college, career of life. Outside of work, she enjoys being outside in nature, working out, spending time with her family. by @cincinnati_sf
