Here’s what I’ve learned after seven years behind a camera.Couples need more than beautiful photos. They need to feel good on their wedding day. They need to feel like themselves. They need to trust the people around them. They need to laugh, cry, and just know they are taken care of.You will be with your photographer more than anyone else on your wedding day. Even more than the person you are marrying. Being comfortable around them, trusting them, matters. These are the photos that will be there 30 years from now, ready for you to relive the day over and over. The memories connected to them shape your perspective of your wedding for years to come.I (hi, I’m Matt) built Cinder and Ivory with this in mind. It starts over a drink before you even book us. We walk through your nerves, your vision, your dreams, and the things that make those dreams a reality. After that one meeting I want you more prepared and excited for your wedding day than you were before we sat down.From there the whole team is in it with you. Gabrielle stays one step ahead, reading the room and keeping the energy grounded. Sophia is chasing every moment on film so nothing gets lost. Olivia is building the narrative in real time. And through all of it I’m coordinating with your vendor team, building your timeline, and making sure you always know what’s coming next. We know when to direct and when to step back. And if you still feel awkward, that’s ok. Getting you out of your head is literally our job.A few months out we dive deep. Family dynamics, the people who matter most, the moments you cannot miss. (My planning guide is 13 pages and still growing.)The day itself goes by like a dream. That’s why we will be there to help you hold on to those memories for a lifetime. Within 48 hours you’ll have previews and content to relive the day while it’s still fresh.
