I’m not into gatekeeping. I initiated this because there was something I wanted to pull out of my Rickenbacker 4003 that I couldn’t quite get from the stock neck pickup. I was looking for something somewhere between The Fall’s Blindness and the Jesus and Mary Chain. I wondered if a gold-foil H-22 could be made to work with the existing Rickenbacker harness. Rob @geminipickups was kind enough to make the idea happen. It isn’t something he normally stocks, but the pickup fit with virtually no modification and sounds incredible. Jason Saracco @brokenguitars did the modification and, as always, was great to work with. The neck position alone gives you that beautiful Harmony vibe. Paired with the high-output Rickenbacker bridge pickup, it opens up another dimension entirely. If you want to get more out of the neck position than the usual “Come Together” vibe, I highly recommend it. If you’re interested, talk to Rob @geminipickups. He’s lovely to work with, and I’m happy to share the rabbit hole. @andybaxterbassandguitars @rickenbackerofficial by @cinderblocktropic
Rooted in Hawaiʻi. Prepared for the world. From the traditions and values of Punahou to the endless possibilities ahead, this moment represents years of dedication, growth, and character. Proud of the man you’ve become, grateful for the journey that brought us here, and excited for the future that awaits. Clearly a landmark achievement of an opening for Doug Aitken. If you are in LA, making time for a trip to Regen Projects can only be a good thing. by @cinderblocktropic

Another epic evening with @bombay335, @heyjojo & @jjh671. And the Reid brothers, they brought their brand of candy technicolor gloom, that not so ironically, seemed to resonate a little more this week. by @cinderblocktropic
Other than Nico's version of "These Days", no other single track gives me the autumn feels like Pavement's late era gem "Major Leagues." Hope your Sunday is as laid back and resigned as this beauty. ✨🍂 by @cinderblocktropic
