Tomorrow, I graduate law school with a concentration in Intellectual Property & Information Law, become the first Juris Doctor in my family, and officially become a lawyer at 25.

Becoming an entertainment lawyer has been a goal of mine since I was 13, so closing this chapter with experience from Paramount, Disney, Google, and IP firms feels surreal. Blessed is an understatement, none of this would’ve been possible without God’s favor and grace.

This degree is also for my father, who passed during my first week of law school. He was the first in his family to break generational curses by becoming an attorney in Nigeria, ultimately paving the way for me to be the first in America, and that lineage gives this journey a meaning words can barely hold. After grieving quietly and remaining focused as he would’ve wanted, tomorrow, I walk in his honor, with a full heart and deep gratitude, knowing he’s watching over me proudly as I fulfill our dream.

A special thank you to my village who showed me unconditional support and grace over these 3 years. This journey was far from easy with countless sacrifices, so please excuse me as I celebrate this forever!!
