an open love letter ❣️ three years ago, i decided to go to asia with no return ticket, and literally no plan but to travel. i came to korea with only the knowledge of kpop and boys over flowers 🥀

it was only meant to be a visit and yet somehow, korea turned into my second home and i was lucky to meet amazing friends, reunite with old ones, find love in teaching, and build a community

the last few years gave me so much and while korea dominated most of my asia trip, it’s time to say goodbye (for now) and pursue other parts of asia 🌱 korea will always have a place in my heart so a big thank you to all the amazing people i met that made it so special 🫶🏼✨

the most spontaneous girl i know. from meeting each other once in canada to “where are you in asia? i’ll meet you there” 🤣

it’s been a full year since i hopped on a plane and embarked on the greatest adventure i’ve ever had. the last 365 days have truly been a love letter to myself and i’m so grateful for all the adventure and magic i’ve been able to experience 💌

when i think about the things i’ve done, the things i’ve seen, and the people i’ve met — it almost feels like a movie. from swimming with turtles, having a monkey steal my phone, climbing a freaking rock in thailand, to just strolling the streets of shibuya.. i feel so blessed to call this life ✨ by @cindythi

lucky girl syndrome hitting hard 🍀✨ it feels like i’m living someone else’s life. i’ve been thinking about travelling for some time now and one day i just hit confirm and bought a one-way ticket to asia, starting with japan 🇯🇵

aiming for 6 different countries and at least 6 months of travel. i came into this with so little planned and i’m so grateful things are unfolding the way that they are-

1. was praying that my checked bag would be accepted bc lmao.. i overpacked but we all knew i would. the nicest man in the world let me in anyways 🥺🤍
2. a lovely flight attendant and i were vibing hard so she got me free bar food and chose my ig cover pic for this post hahahahehehe
3. wanted a window seat but forgot to check in and reserve ahead of time. the guy beside me noticed my love for the window and offered to switch w me what 😭
4. the other person on my aisle is the nicest girl in the world and i basically adopted her at the airport and she stayed w me for her one night in japan and now we besties LOL 👭🏽 @f.madelyne.c.c
5. we both dumb tho and forgot trains closed and were STRANDED in shibuya. a kind taxi man helped us get home for a discounted fee. bless bc we were gonna wait until 5am when trains opened again

didn’t expect to be so blessed for my first few days of travel and a part of me still doesn’t believe this is actually my life now. there were so many reasons for me not to leave vancouver, but i’m grateful for this journey and i’m ready to just get lost in it (not literally, pls pray for me ok my locations on). see you in a few months maybe 👋
