We recently created this giant compact for KIKO Milano’s “Think Bigger, Go Maxi!” campaign ✨

The process started with 3D modelling, followed by 3D printing in both solid and clear resin. Once printed, the individual parts went through multiple stages, including wrapping and scenic painting, before being finished with a high-gloss lacquer in our spray booth. The final stage involved bringing everything together and fitting the movable elements.

Working to a fast turnaround, every stage was delivered by our in-house prop-making and scenic painting teams, taking the compact from the initial model through to the finished piece, ready for set.

Welcome to The Mines of Silo Season 3.

At the heart of our work on Silo Season 3 was the construction of an extensive mine network, built as a series of modular sections.

Rather than relying on traditional poly carving, our teams developed the organic forms using plaster sheets over the constructed framework. This provided a robust, long-term set for the film crew to work within, while considering safety, durability and the environmental impact of the materials used.

Bringing together the skills of our carpenters, metalworkers, plasterers and scenic team, every stage of the build contributed to an incredibly immersive environment. We’re incredibly proud of our team and want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in such a impressive build.

With so many different environments created across Silo Season 3, we wanted to take a closer look at some of the individual sets our team worked on and the work that went into bringing them to life.

Two significant sets were the Operations Room and Cryochamber, finally revealed in the Season 3 finale. These spaces introduced a very different approach to conventional set construction, with much of the design shaped around organic forms, sweeping curves and specific geometry.

Both were substantial builds for our team, each presenting its own technical and construction challenges. The continuous curvature within the designs required the team to develop practical ways of translating these complex shapes into physical sets. Many elements were broken down and constructed in modular sections, allowing bendy ply to be formed over carefully built frameworks to achieve the precise curves and profiles required.

This approach was used throughout a number of the sets, allowing the team to overcome the challenges presented by the more unconventional geometry while also considering the practicalities of fabrication, installation and finishing.

As Silo Season 3 draws to a close, we’re looking back at some of the incredible sets our team helped bring to life.

It was a huge project that brought together almost every part of our team, from set construction, metalwork and carpentry to scenic painting, prop making, CNC and polycarving!

A huge thank you to Production Designer Nicole Northridge, the Art Department and everyone across the wider crew who trusted us, collaborated with us and made the whole experience such a pleasure to be part of 🫶

And most importantly, a massive thank you to our team! So many talented people played a part in bringing these sets to life, and we couldn’t be prouder of what everyone achieved together ☺️

Another brilliant project to have been part of earlier this year, building the full-scale sets for this Star Wars LEGO shoot. 🚀

A huge thank you to the team at @setsappeal for bringing us onto the project, working alongside Production Designer @will_k_wightman and the brilliant art department @stellasets and @townesvanpants to bring the designs into full-scale physical sets for the shoot.

It was a pleasure working alongside such a talented team, and a huge thank you to everyone at Cineco involved in the build.

We recently fabricated this bespoke shell bed for designer @poppybartlettstudio ,created for @chloe new window display at @harveynichols

The piece began with a hand-shaped polycarved base, forming the organic structure and sculptural curves of the shell. Rope detailing was added to create the defined edging before the form was built up by hand with layers of plaster, refining the shape and surface before a durable hard coat was applied.

The finished piece was completed by our in-house spray and scenic paint teams, combining a smooth sprayed finish with carefully hand-painted detailing to add depth, texture and character to the final installation.

We had a fantastic time on the weekend joining the BFDG Newcomers Open Day, where we had the opportunity to speak about the work we do at Cineco and share an insight into the world of film and television set construction. It was a pleasure meeting so many aspiring creatives and discussing the collaborative process behind bringing productions to life!

Thank you to the British Film Designers Guild for inviting us to be part of this event and thank you Sky Studios Elstree for hosting. We hope everyone who attended left feeling inspired, and we look forward to seeing the next generation of talent entering the industry.

Take a look at some of the sets we worked on last year for The Capture Season 3.

From the giant structural builds through to the detailed paint finishes, this project had so many moving components and was such fun to work on. It was a great experience for our team, helping realise a sharp, high-tech world on screen — and what a job they’ve done.

A huge thank you to everyone involved. We’re so happy with the finished sets.

A special thank you to Production Designer Cristina Casali, Supervising Art Director Fabrice Spelta, Art Director Alice Sutton, and everyone else involved on this project.

One of our recent prop installations for Argenx, created for the EULAR 2026 Congress at ExCeL London.

Working alongside Lucid Group, our team took the project from concept through to installation, bringing together elements including construction, scenic painting, mould making, prop-making, and finishing to create this specialised project — and the results looked great!

Thank you to Lucid Group who trusted us with this project and everyone involved especially the team over at CNC Factory for the poly carving of the bull, and to Clint and his brilliant team at More & More Design for the hard coating of them!
And of course the team at Cineco for all the hard work and skill they brought to the project ❤️

We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at our recent build for @paramountplusuk promoting the new series Dutton Ranch.

Our team created a large-scale Dutton Ranch branding iron installation, featuring a scorched earth and cracked ground effect to make it look like the initials had been branded straight into the floor at Waterloo Station!

A big thank you to Paramount+, designer Casper Phillips, and everyone involved — and a massive shoutout to our team for all the hard work, skill, and attention to detail that brought this one to life 🤘🏽🐴 🤠
