Notes by Chris Masters Mah:
Joshua Hoareau + I met when both had a short film presented for awards at Connect Film Festival (His film multi-award winning film ARRIVAL, and my multi-award winning film A FAIRY TALE).
Immediately upon meeting, I felt a kinship to his crew and expressed how much his crew there felt like my old high-school clique. It's impressive enough and a testament to a Director and his leadership skills when his entire team showed up for the Festival. (My team consisted of the co-directors and myself.)
That was the beginning of a beautiful working friendship, where Josh and I were in each others projects, from narrative shorts, to award-winners, to laser tag and go-karting commercials at Le Mans.
Friendship Is the gift that keeps on giving...
This film, Bad Town, is an experiment in shooting a Film Neo-Noir genre.
