This is our son Leo. He was the sweetest boy you will ever meet. His smile was everything to us. As parents we always advocated for him and loved him unconditionally.🤍

There is a hole in our hearts after losing him, nothing will ever make us feel whole until the day we meet together as a family of 4 again in Heaven🌿 👼🏻

We miss him every single day🥺 #grief #griefjourney #childloss by @cinthiajgalvez

spend the morning with me as working mom to a 18 month old toddler on her day off.

Creating these memories is what I look forward to over the weekends. It didn’t matter how tired we are, we are always going to make some time for fun activities with my son.

What are some activities you like to do over the weekend.?

I made this delicious lasagna soup yesterday, and it’s perfect for soup season! 🥣🤎 So cozy, creamy, and full of flavor. Save this recipe for your next family dinner! Recipe below ⬇️

🍅 Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground beef
• A little olive oil
• Chopped onion and minced garlic, to taste
• 1 tsp Tony’s Creole seasoning
• 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
• 4 cups chicken broth, plus more as needed
• ½ box lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
• ½ cup heavy cream,
• Grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella, optional

🧀 Topping:
• ½ cup ricotta cheese
• Grated Parmesan
• Shredded mozzarella
• Chopped parsley

🥣 Instructions:

1. Heat a little olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened.
2. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Cook through and drain excess grease if needed. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
3. Stir in Tony’s, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
4. Add the marinara sauce and chicken broth. Stir and bring to a gentle boil.
5. Add the broken lasagna noodles. Simmer until tender, following the package timing and stirring frequently. Add more broth as needed for your preferred consistency.
6. Reduce the heat to low. Add heavy cream, optional Parmesan, and mozzarella until melted. Taste and add salt and black pepper as needed.
7. Mix the ricotta, Parmesan, mozzarella, and parsley together. Add a spoonful to each bowl and enjoy! 🤎

Morning routine as a 32-year-old working mom to a toddler 🤍

My son turned 18 months a couple of days ago, and here’s how it’s going so far!

I’m loving this stage. His little personality is coming out more, he’s saying more words, and we’re also having a few more tantrums 🙊 So many sweet moments and some big feelings, too!

I’ve been teaching him little daily routines, like praying in the morning, saying affirmations, and helping clean up. He’s still little, but it’s important to model these habits to him.

I recently got him the daily visual schedule and daily plan book from @slumberkins to help with our routines. I’m still figuring out where to hang the schedule in his room, but I’m excited to start using it more

If you have a toddler in this stage, how’s it going for you? And if you’ve already been through it, leave your helpful tips in the comments for me and the other mamas!

As always, thank you for spending the morning with us and supporting our little corner here. I hope y’all have an amazing day! 🥰

People often tell me how strong I am and how they admire that I keep showing up for my younger son, for work, and for life with a positive mindset after losing my son.

But so much of grieving is simply figuring out how to keep going while carrying a pain that never really leaves. Especially when you’re parenting while grieving. Some days feel lighter, and other days take everything you have.

We all carry our pain differently, and find different ways to cope with it. For me today that looks like going for a run, clearing my head, other days is just simply practicing gratitude, appreciate small things, and letting myself feel whatever comes up.

I choose to keep living, to allow myself to be happy, and to make room for the small things that bring me joy. I can miss Leo with my whole heart and still find joy. Both can exist together.

I want to live for Leo and for his little brother, who is here and needs us, too. I know Leo would want his mama and dad to find happiness and give his little brother so much love.

So here’s to living for Leo. Even though he isn’t physically here, he lives in our hearts and in so much of what we do. ❤️‍🩹

We love you so much, little Lion. I look at the sky and think of you. I know you’re proud of us and watching over us. 🦁🤍
