Way to go! Our very own Cintya, @chapmanupb President Elyse Tran, and President Matt Parlow had the incredible opportunity to engage in a special fireside chat featuring Emmy, Peabody and Webby Award-winning actor, writer and producer Keegan-Michael Key.

Key captivated a packed Musco Center for the Arts audience with an evening of laughter, reflection and candid storytelling ✨.

Cintya also served in the Presidential Transition Advisory Committee and help plan the week’s inauguration events. For more details, click the link in our bio. taken in Musco Center for the Arts by @cintya_mendivil

Tonight, I want to pay tribute to the organization that has sharpened my character beyond measure, making me the leader that I am today.

If you know me, you know that I take pride in my sorority, Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. where I serve as president of our Collective @opbsi_chapman .

On a Wednesday morning, I met my mentor @ysiadmars , and was introduced to what would be the beginning of a transformative journey guided by the love and utmost dedication from @mamabirdmagic. Fast forward to Fall 2023, my line sisters @nataliatrejoo @aizzy.y , and I established the first multicultural Greek organization on campus.

University President Daniele Struppa has expressed a commitment to making Chapman a Hispanic-Serving Institution, recognizing the importance of reflecting the diverse demographics of surrounding areas, such as Santa Ana, which is composed of a 76% Hispanic population.

Through our event “Womxn In the Workforce“ womxn from the SoCal Alumni Chapter, the @opbsi_alphamu Chapter, came to speak about their journeys as womxn of color in the professional world. I personally deeply appreciated this event because I had never met a Latina in my field of interest. Another event we hosted was “The 2024 Election and the Latinx Vote” where we partnered with the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute to educate students about the data behind the Latinx electorate and encourage them to vote. Lastly, I want to highlight our Inaugural Ray of Hope Gala where we raised and donated $5,000 to our regional beneficiary, Radiant Futures, a local transitional living home for survivors of domestic violence.

In addition, our organization has collaborated with university administration to pave the way for more diverse Greek organizations on campus. Our success serves as a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. Check out the two articles published about our impact and service to the community in my bio.

PS. If you are interested in learning more about us, we have an informational today 2/20 at 5:17pm. taken in Chapman University by @cintya_mendivil
