Sustainability Editor, @bellawebb_, asked whether AI can genuinely deliver a sustainable future for fashion and invited us to make the case.

Our CEO, caught-up with Bella to share how we’re bringing lifecycle assessment data to the front of the design process, so brands can reverse-engineer their sustainability targets before a single metre of fabric is cut.

I’m still on cloud 9 after hosting a fireside chat with THE @lynnejfranks at @manchester_fashion_week (Part 1) ☁️💫

Lynne founded her own PR agency at just 21, representing the likes of @viviennewestwood, @jeanpaulgaultier and @katharinehamnett. Her agency went on to create the first ever London Fashion Week in 1984!

She later turned her zeitgeist instincts towards social causes and, through founding SEED, has helped thousands of women around the world build businesses and community projects.

In the final countdown to @manchester_fashion_week I’m reflecting on the 2025 rebirth!

I was honoured to host a chat with sustainability trailblazers @carrysomers and @safia_minney 🫶 We explored how Manchester can build on its industrial heritage by harnessing our ecosystem of innovation, tech and culture to create a new, sustainable fashion legacy.

In between insightful talks and show-stopping runways I got to meet some very cool people who share my passion for circularity and creating a better industry.

I’m so effin’ excited for the MFW26 programme which builds on the incredible foundations of last year.

London, Paris, New York, but mainly Manchester. 🐝

Fashion faces a 67% profit drop by 2040 if brands fail to act on climate.

That figure should make every fashion business pay attention.

Rising costs, climate volatility, and growing pressure on business performance are making the cost of inaction harder to ignore. This isn’t just a sustainability talking point. It’s a very real commercial risk.

News of Shein’s valuation being cut by around 70%, from nearly $100bn to $27bn, is a reminder that the market is watching risk, resilience, and long-term viability closely.

The environmental cost has always mattered. Now the commercial cost is becoming impossible to ignore too.

The brands that move now, and treat sustainability as core business strategy rather than a bolt-on, will be in a far stronger position to protect profit, build resilience, and stay competitive in a fast-changing market.

There’s no more room for delay. The time to unf*ck fashion is now.
