POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

After a year in the works, we’re incredibly excited to unveil a collaboration with @burtonsnowboards. As two Vermont-based and family-owned companies sharing a deep passion for craftsmanship and purposeful design, this goes beyond product; it’s a fusion of process. Luthiers and board builders worked together, exchanging techniques and insights to create a one-of-a-kind bundle that unites the spirit of music with the thrill of snowboarding.

A gorgeous OM from our friends at Circle Strings. Torrefied Adirondack spruce over Brazilian rosewood back and sides, with the same rosewood carried through the fingerboard, bridge, binding, headstock veneer, and heel cap. A striped rosewood rosette, high ratio Waverly tuners, a satin nitro neck.

Turn the sound up for this one.

Some emotions and experiences are truly ineffable. Last week, I had the deep honor of helping our friends at @family_guitars digitize and archive some truly amazing pieces of music history.

Working with Jerry Garcia's "Tiger," Frank Zappa's "Baby Snakes," and Bob Marley's Yamaha SG-1000 (among others) was a profoundly humbling experience. These were once just mythical instruments I would read about in magazines growing up. Multiple posters of all three of these musicians adorned the bedroom walls of my childhood home.

I’m endlessly grateful for the trust in my skills to document these legendary pieces, and I'll be carrying the magic of this experience with me for a very long time. by @circlestrings

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Charles Fox. I don’t think I would be where I am today if it weren’t for Charles and the path he helped create for so many of us.

Charles was a true pioneer of modern lutherie. In 1973, he founded the first school for guitar makers in North America, the Guitar Research & Design Center (GRD), in South Strafford, Vermont. It was there that he began teaching and sharing his knowledge of guitar making with a new generation of builders, including George Morris.
George went on to establish Vermont Instruments, where my own journey in lutherie began. I had the privilege of studying guitar making with George, eventually becoming part owner of Vermont Instruments before leaving to work for Froggy Bottom.

It all started here in Vermont—with Charles, then George, then Vermont Instruments, and eventually our business. All these years later, I’m still here in Vermont, building guitars and carrying forward the craft. - Adam by @circlestrings
