I told my friend how I still see Tater everywhere and she reminded me that he will always be with me. So I am leaning into that and posted a pic of his favorite place which was hanging on the sunporch . Pic is not to scale because my old boy had a rather large noggin but its still him. My dad is on the back wall of the sunporch so I spend time talking to both. Well since my dad had impressive selective hearing and Tater was deaf and they are both, well, dead most of the convos occur telepathically. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

I used to go to the county fair every year with my parents and my dad was obsessed with that section where hucksters are trying to sell you a new amazing knife or other gadget. Yes he bought a lot of strange stuff. And when he passed away we were cleaning out his place and i called the entire spare bedroom the As Seen on TV room because it was just shelving and those weird things you would buy online. And of course I have fallen prey myself to the well, odd online purchase ( let me see a gorilla suit, this contraption i wore around my wrist that allowed me to shoot actual balls of fire, yeah I could go on and on) . But in that spirit I bought the above garden tool named Grampa's Weeder and I am shocked at how effective it is. It is not a gimmick. You impale it around the root, step on the pedal and lean the tool back and you will experience the most effective weed pull you could ever imagine. So since my mower died after only a few months (grrrr....dont get me started on that ) i will have a hot date in my front yard with Grampa's Weeder for the foreseeable future. No complaints as my good friend Peggy Poteet Kruger showed me years ago how weeding a yard is actually the perfect mental therapy. You accomplish something , dont have to talk about your feelings and there is no co payment. Sounds perfect. And these are the days where i know Tater is still with me because no dog ever enjoyed these sunny, almost blinding mornings more than him. I would watch him rolling about, sunning his belly and i guess offering up his non existent trouble puffs to the gods. Half the time I didnt even know what he was doing out there but seeing him living in the moment and just being so darn happy will forever fill my heart. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

Fresca slurpee part two. The 7-11 is super close and I walked down there and discovered Slurpee Happy Hour, 3 -6 where all large Slurpees are a buck if you have the 7-11 app. So i get my two large Fresca slurpees and am walking home positively chuffed over my bounty. I approach this one yard where I have walked past and this magnificent husky type dog, incredible coloring and sweet for days normally runs to the fence and greets me. So walking back I see a woman in the yard where my husky friend normally resides and she is checking her mailbox and I tell her "your dog is so handsome, should be on a 5 dollar bill". I notice her eyes cloud over slightly and ahe looked down and said "we lost him 10 days ago".. I burst into tears and this woman says "its ok you didnt know" and I said "I lost my best boy a little over a month ago" then this woman burst into tears. We stand there a moment crying and I just said "do you want a Slurpee" and she let out the most beautiful laugh and said "hon I think i am okay" So we stood their and cried and laughed and I said "when we see them again we will be so annoying". More teary laughter. Don't know her name or her dogs name but they are swesome. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

Ok so Starbucks sell protein egg bites, 2 bites for 5 dollars. Bear in mind I cannot cook to save my life but I went online found a copy cat recipe and made 40 bites for 3.50. Sure I use cheddar instead of gruyere cheese. But these things freeze and reheat and keep a good texture. Best of all I dont have to talk to anyone at the drive thru. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

Tell me can a dog be taught to read the calendar? A school bus stop is around the corner from my place and a horde of kids walk right in front of my place every school day to catch the bus. They run to the fence screaming his name and he is probably happy he cant hear that part but then they love up on him. On the weekends he goes out to his post at the fence at the appointed time and when no kids comes he stares at me sitting on the porch wondering what in tarnation is going on. I explain the concept of weekends as best I can to a deaf dog , give him a sweet potato chip and we are cool by @circuitmonkeyfarms

So I go to take out the garbage and on my lawn literally overnight the fungi on the left appeared. I went to pick it and throw it away and then I looked at it again and thought is rather resembled The Elephant Man from that 1980 classic film (pictured on the right). Or maybe it looks more like the head of an enormous elephant seal. Dunno. Still on the fence. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

Ok maybe it is not visually appealing but I melt Red Vines over low heat with simple syrup, pour the mixture onto parchment paper, let it cool a bit, cut it up then fold the Red Vines mixture into good quality vanilla ice cream to make Red Vine Swirl......now if I only could get my hands on the dearly departed snack of my youth. pink popcorn. I would chop up the pink popcorn , add it to the amazing swirl and label the end result Gettysburg Crunch and this stuff would FLY off the shelves. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

So the electric blanket has arrived and Tater promptly jumped on the bed and spread out his cute belly and limbs to achieve maximum contact with the wonderful warmth. I don't really expect him to move much until spring. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

So I moved into this place a few months ago and I love it, it came with a Wedgewood stove from the 1960s that is fully operational, showroom clean and gorgeous . I usually just microwave stuff but decide to do some basic cooking beyond a grilled cheese. I only had one pan, a decent frying pan pictured on the left. So I go to Walmart to buy a whole set of pans and lids, a nice saute pan, a Dutch oven for boiling pasta, etc. The cooking set aisle at Walmart does not disappoint but being a world class cheapskate my eyes go to the right to grab the cheapest set. Weeeeell, you kinda get what you pay for because everything in this set is scaled down. The frying pan is on the right of this photo. Apparently i have purchased a 9 piece My First Kitchen set made by Fisher Price because these pans are so seriously scaled down. I really should not be allowed to shop without supervision. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

Me and Mr. Tater take our respective joint health pills every morning with breakfast. His are chewable. Kinda jealous. by @circuitmonkeyfarms

The only thing I do that bothers this totally deaf dog is sneeze. If I am within 30 feet of him and sneeze he will leave the room in a huff. He will even wake from a dead sleep once the achoo happens. Not an issue unless my allergies kick in. Sorry in advance, my good man. by @circuitmonkeyfarms
