🌟 What a Night! @motionhouse x @cirkhes Youth Circus 🌟

Last week (14 October) our Youth Circus had the incredible opportunity to train with the world-class acrobatic dance company MotionHouse, just before their one-night-only performance of Hidden at the @@hall_for_cornwall the following evening. 🎭✨

The workshop was packed with energy, laughter, and discovery — from dynamic lifts and contact work to playful movement and creative exploration. Our young people truly shone, throwing themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm and heart. 💪🤸‍♀️

A massive thank you to the MotionHouse team for their time, generosity, and inspiration — especially in the midst of their busy tour schedule! 🙏💛 It was a joy to see our performers learning directly from such an innovative and expressive company.

The memories (and muscles!) from that evening will stay with us for a long time. ❤️

📸 Here are a few snapshots capturing the buzz and brilliance of the night — huge thanks to everyone who made it happen!

✨ Learning from the best, flying even higher! ✨

Sam's Marathon Mission donate now here https://donorbox.org/sam-s-marathon-mission

Running Cornwall’s Toughest for Cirk Hes

Meet Sam Ashworth — father, husband, and now first-time marathon runner — who is taking on Cornwall’s toughest race, the Lighthouse Marathon, in support of our youth circus. Sam’s son Rudy and daughter Rosi are proud members of our “Gen ‘A’ Youth Circus,” and along with his lovely wife Helen, really get what we are about, and the value of what we do. Son Rudy along with family dog Skip, are out training by his side. The Lighthouse Marathon spares no one: expect mud, water, rocks, sand, tarmac — and nearly 4,000 ft of climbing. With autumn’s rain, dunes, and the real possibility of finishing in darkness (yes — you must beat the lighthouse’s light!), every step is a battle. Sam is pushing through all of it because he believes in what we do — in the transformation, confidence, and joy we give young people in our community.

Will you help Sam reach the finish line — and help our youth circus thrive? Your sponsorship of even a small amount will go directly to supporting our workshops, equipment, training, and outreach. Let’s cheer Sam on — and carry our young performers, and our community work forward together. by @circus_works_devoran

🔥🎪 What. A. Weekend. 🎪🔥

Team Cirk Hes is back from a whirlwind of sparkle, strength and standing ovations at The Great Estate Festival 2025—and we’re still buzzing from the electric energy of it all!

From fire to flight, flips to fierce poses, our performers lit up the lawns and skies of Scorrier House—and what a response from the crowd! Huge thanks to everyone who turned out, cheered us on, and shared in the joy of circus with us. Check out these awesome snaps courtesy of @Suezan Barry Elliott.

To all the organisers, crew and beautiful festival-goers—thank you for making us feel so welcome and so celebrated. Your support means the world to our youth performers, pros, and everyone in between.

We’re proud to be part of a vibrant and inclusive creative scene in Cornwall, and this weekend was another big reminder of why we do what we do. 💛

Until next time @great_estate_festival @The Great Estate
