Two weeks ago I met my friend who also did kid with IVF and she said “isn’t it strange, when I was in the IVF circus every month was like a year. When the embryo didn’t get stuck I felt such a stress that We had to wait a month for next attempt. And now, here we are the two of us, with kids 2 months apart and they gonna grow up being born not only in the same year but even in the same summer. And I realized that the time when you wait for a kid is so much longer than real time. So hang in there you guys, time appears much longer than it is ! #ivf #ivfsverige by @circusivf

“You tried to early after the loss, the body didn’t have time to recover”. People told us. As if they would know better than the doctors. And the result was this one☝🏼. First ovulation after the last miscarriage, one year ago this week they put in the embryo of Florence Ray. The clinics start opening up again after the summer🙌🏼 this film is from a year ago when they took out eggs to make Florence Ray. We were super excited to start again after the summer and I got a high dose of hormones so we thought there would be maxed with eggs. But then when we went in they didn’t see many at all and they only got out 2 that could be matched with my partners sperms. I was crying on our way home because I was so disappointed. And in the end one of those two became our daughter. So keep up the hope and if doesn’t work this time it’s probably because you are supposed to get a kid who’s born during fall, not during the summer when nobody is home for their birthday parties🥳 #ivf #ivfsverige #miscarriage #stillbirth #dreamersteam by @circusivf

Real busy day today. Walked 8 km to get HER passport since she’s incapable of doing anything by herself bcs of her young age. She thanked me by waking up with a scream exactly when it was our turn. Then she pooped and I changed her diaper in a park , gave her milk because she kept screaming and then offered her a ride in the stroller to join me for a doctors visit to check up MY vagina since SHE used it as her red carpet to get into this world (and after that it has been like a war zone). She refused to ride the stroller, she wanted to ride stuck on me. I did intervals, as far as I could without feeling bad for her with her in the stroller screaming and then a couple of hundred meters with her on my shoulder, pushing the stroller with my stomach. I’m was dripping with sweat when we reach the doctor 1,5 h later. Gave the kid to the doctor and she immediately fell asleep. I got up in the chair and had to look in a mirror to see the details of the hole where she came out. I got exercises to do “for the rest of your life” to rebuild the muscles and I ask the doctor how important it is to do it because I already got flossing my teeth and rehab for my knee to do for the rest of my life and she answered ” it’s important” so I added it to rest of my life list. Last kilometer from doctor and home she was awake and now she’s sleeping quite and relaxed and I’m going to get the first coffee of the day to celebrate that I did a lot of kilometers of babylifting AND that my war zone looked pretty good😅👌🏼✌🏻 #ivf #ivfsverige #dreamersteam by @circusivf

Things to be honest about: -When she got out neither me or Gianluca felt instant love. I was thinking “omg I hope she’s gonna be funny bcs she really doesn’t have the look” and Gianluca said out loud “ we wait a couple of days before we send pictures back to Italy , maybe she will look better if we wait?” I replied: maybe we have to wait not a couple of days but a couple of years😂 - After the first night we started loving her and after that more end more but that instant love that people talk about when their baby comes out, was more a relief feeling for us. - The pain the weeks after. The uterus that’s shrinks and gives you pain like contractions, the nipples that get soured from breastfeeding and the stitches that keep you from going on the toilette because you are afraid of pushing.
Now 2,5 weeks passed and during these weeks more than 2000 fotos of her been taken and sent between me and Gianluca. We love her unconditionally and we think she is the smartest and most beautiful 2,5 weeks in the world! Her dad who is a hairdresser is only a little worried about that she doesn’t have much hair in the front “if she’s not growing hair in the front it’s gonna be very few options for me to style her hair in the future, very very few” 😆

Florence Ray came to us two days ago! She was born exactly 1 year and 5 days after her brother Rocky’s expected birthday and she was worth the wait. Today we leave the hospital and we send a special thought to Rocky who brought us to this little miracle and made us fight for her. #dreamersteam #ivf #stillbirth #miscarriage by @circusivf

This one goes out to everyone doing IVF and having to wait until August because the clinic close for the summer. Last summer we were sad about double losses and we were feeling as we were on wait for the next try. But then in one way or another we managed to get our minds around it and really celebrate the summer. The goal of having a kid is becoming essential in your life and you forget all the fantastic things that comes with the freedom of not having one, yet. Use the time, drink Prosecco , go to concerts , make a spontaneous trip a really recharge the batteries for the next try by letting your mind go. Idag är det ofrivilligt barnlösas dag. En dag som föralltid kommer att vara väldigt viktig för mig. Det va ju det mitt liv handlade om så länge. Jag blir alltid känslosam när människor runt omkring mig berättar om sin kamp eller om en nära väns kämpande. Jag försöker ge alla goda råd jag kan och dela med mig av kunskapen jag har. New blog out in English, link in bio. It’s about my body, it’s a superhero. Probably many of you will recognize yourselves but in different ways. If you fight to get a kid maybe you, like me , been through different surgery’s, injections, treatments and most of all the pain of losing or the pain of never winning. The picture is from last February , some days after that we lost little Rocky.
