Sometimes you just need a few days away to slow down, soak up the sun and put your feet in the sand…Biking, walking, watching beautiful sunsets, eating amazing food, meeting new people, and making memories with my favorite person. ❤️
One of the highlights was getting to meet THE Officer Brandon Tatum and his beautiful family. What a genuinely good human being. Honest, funny, kind, and just one of those people you feel lucky to cross paths with. We absolutely loved the two day event at the Old Florida Fish House. And somehow… he may have even turned me into a bourbon fan! (I have a whole case of @verdictbourbon in my game room now) 🫣🤣

Soooo much going on around here...🫣
This week Jack and Mel’s things were picked up by the movers, his car was picked up yesterday, and we had one last farewell dinner together at home last night. This morning we took them to the airport to start this new chapter in their lives - new city (St. Louis), new job (Boeing), and... they’re engaged! 💍❤️We are so happy and excited for them!
When we left the airport, I told Eric I think I need a baby Highland cow now... you know, something to take care of. 😂 He said, “We have a puppy, Erin. We don’t need any more animals right now.” 🙄😩
I mean if one just shows up in the yard, what am I gonna do tell him he can’t stay?! 😏 🐮 Does Amazon deliver farm animals? Just asking for a friend 🤔 by @cirenire

Eric and I recently rescued three puppies. When we brought them home, they were skinny, sick, and full of worms, but seeing them healthy and happy now has been such a blessing.
❤️ Lovable Lucas found his forever home with Alina and Stacey.
❤️ Sweet Sadie Mae found hers with Chip and Angel.
❤️ And little JuneBug is staying with us. 🐾
A special shout out to my girl, Finley for being the sweetest big sister, sharing her love—and even her favorite ball – which if you know Finley is the ultimate act of love! 🎾🥰
I believe God knew our family needed this after Sailor’s passing and tragically losing Pearl. Instead of one puppy, He sent us three. I get to watch them all grow up and love on them as much as possible. Thank you to my friends who found room in their hearts and homes. I could not be more grateful to y’all. by @cirenire

How can I be happy, sad, excited, and nervous all at the same time?
This little redhead turned 23 yesterday. ❤️ It’s still one of my favorite pictures of him.

Eric and I dropped Jack and and his girlfriend, Mel off at the airport last night. Today they’re in St. Louis apartment hunting as they begin this next chapter. Jack accepted a position with Boeing as a Cloud and Cybersecurity Software Engineer—a title I don’t completely understand. 😂
Watching your child chase dreams you’ve prayed over for years is a strange mix of emotions. My mama heart is bursting with excitement for him while quietly grieving that another season has come to an end. Although he will never see this post as he despises social media I will say it anyway - Happy 23rd birthday, Jack. No matter where life takes you, work hard, play hard, stay humble and always choose kindness. We love you more than you’ll ever know, and we’re cheering you on every step of the way. ❤️ #dontblink by @cirenire

What an awesome weekend I spent with my cute husband in NYC. I’m not a big city girl at all but I have to say I really enjoyed myself. There is so much history there. And the event on Ellis Island we went to on Saturday night was amazing. Celebrating the 250th year of America. 🇺🇸 We met so many great people and even got to talk to and take a picture with Glenn Beck 🤩 (thanks to his executive producer @rikkiratliff 😉). by @cirenire

I can’t believe I’m writing this less than a month after Sailor’s passing and now I’m somehow trying to put into words the heartbreak of losing Pearl this past weekend. It still doesn’t feel real. My mind can’t fully grasp it and my heart feels broken.

You do everything you think of to take the necessary precautions but sometimes tragic accidents happen anyway. As painful as it is I’m trying to not live in the “what ifs”, the things we could’ve done differently or the guilt that can so easily consume you. Instead I’m choosing to be grateful. Grateful for the 7 months she was on this Earth and the 5 months I got to know her and love her and be loved by her. She was such a special soul. She brought so much light into my life and a piece of my heart left with her.

Love your animals and your people. Spend quality time with one another. Be kind to everyone. Forgive. We are only here for a short time. I miss you so much Miss Pearl 💖 by @cirenire

Sailor 💛 I choose to remember you like this - happy, always up for an adventure, loving everyone you met, carefree and a little wild. You were such a big part of Jack’s childhood and we will always cherish those memories. Your body may have worn out but your sweet soul never did. I will miss you soooo much.
