Soooo I won @misslyranewzealand !! Can you guess what my concept was? 🐍🍎😉
Forever grateful for all the coaching I’ve had over the years from all the wonderful people 💞
This act was extremely different to anything else I’ve ever done and I was very proud to have been able to put my best work yet up on stage for the judges & audience to see :)

More photos to come hehe

Someone brought to my attention that no one on here actually knows what I look like because all my circus videos are in motion and I never posted my headshots. So here’s my face, cheers 👍 by @cirque.kiera

A (VERY) sappy homage post to circus and all it’s done for me 💖🎪
Circus CHANGED my life and took over it completely. It changed my priorities in every way possible. I found circus in 2018 @circoticacircusschool after having a dream that I was doing silks 🤣 and then 3 years later in 2020 I taught my first circus class at the same school (imposter syndrome is still very real)! I am beyond grateful for circus and everything it’s done for me. It taught me persistence and dedication and through circus I have loved and appreciated my body for what it can do like I never did before <3 It’s taught me that falling and failing is another step towards success and i’ve learnt how to never give up (there’s been MANY times i’ve been close) - that’s a skill I’ll be forever grateful for. Learning what my body can be capable of has been such an exciting journey and I can’t wait to continue surprising myself with skills I used to only dream of doing :) I cant describe the feeling of beauty flying in the air gives me and I hope this is something I do for the rest of my life. Being part of the little circus family at Circotica is so wonderful, I love all my circus friends so much :) Huge thankyou to all the teachers over the years that have helped me become the circus artist I am (@sparkle_lit_kk @mim_circus @olivia.watts.circus.artist @dickie_dickson @tyla_paige @nzmulletman @atomicmidget @sunnyvale_rd @aerialmandy ) without them I would not have progressed the way that I have 💖 I started teaching intro to aerials this term and knowing that I get to be at the start of someone’s circus journey the way my teachers were for me is so exciting! I love teaching and watching people progress and achieve and I like to believe I encourage people the way I needed to be encouraged when I first started. If you’ve read this far I apologise for how sappy and disgusting this post is but I’ve always been meaning to share how deep circus has been for me, it gives me a feeling like no other 💖

What would you have done in this situation? Do you think I handled it professionally? I have no idea but I made a funny video about it to help me deal emotionally lol. Honestly a nightmare but I’m just glad the flash wasn’t as full as it felt when I was up there, I was mortified 💀

Wanted to clean up my new Kiera Original sequence before putting it on the grid but Behind The Veil rehearsals are full swing and full on I don’t think I’ll get another chance to film it! Ticket link in my bio tho 💁‍♀️

My 6.16 minute act reduced to 2.30mins! 2nd year, semester 1, major speciality presentation @nicaaustralia. After 2 extensions due to injuries, it felt so good to finally get this labour of love on stage :) I’m super happy with how it went and really proud of myself for the entire process.

This act is about the stages of grief: denial, bargaining, anger, depression, acceptance etc. I really hope I get the chance to continue exploring this act so I can push the concept even further bcoz I really loved creating this.

Biggest thanks & love to my coach @maverick_tine for the amount of support and all the help with the little details I am just obsessed with. So grateful!!! And to @jaran.lp my favourite mat slider 😎 Also shout out to @aerial_nicola for letting me pick your brain through the process xx

THIS IS A JOKE! Obviously I do a lot more to prepare for a drop like this other than just saying a couple prayers & deep breathing lol. I warm up with core, regressions & also do a similar drop on silks/rope to practice without a steel hoop overhead. Plz don’t just send this drop in ur own training 😅

This is the last of my pretty @aerial_3 videos from when I was home 🥲

This is how I wanted the combo to look but the filming gods were not on my side this day… as seen by the battle scars at the end. But I realised I could just splice two videos together and post them anyway bcoz who actually cares? Day 5 of posting videos no matter what to battle perfectionism?

@charli_circus’s little side roll to armpits at the end x
@aerial_3’s beautiful training space 💕

Dramatic ass post for a dramatic ass drop!!
I hadn’t done this drop in about 7 months as I haven’t had access to a light hoop and there was no way in hell I was doing this with 15kg of steel over my head!
What drop are you most scared of ? 😳

Thanks again for the training space @aerial_3 x
