For 125 years, we've watched the Downtown Edmond streetscape change and grow, and we've always loved the view!

Looking south on Broadway from Main Street in 1961. Popular businesses/stores visible include Bloom-Stalter Furniture and Appliances, Oklahoma Tire & Supply Co. (OTASCO), McCall's Men's Store, The Grill, Kirkland Drug store, Denton's Dress Shop, Shedrick Jewelers, TG&Y. Notice the stop signs instead of streetlights.

Downtown Edmond is full of a rich Oklahoma history that we’ve shared with our neighbors for 125 years!

The Broncho Theater opened in 1936 and was the second movie theater operating in Edmond, with the Gem Theater being the first. Both were owned and operated by the Spearman family. The hospital opened on the second floor in 1947. We've heard countless stories of the wife going into labor and being able to smell the popcorn and hear the movie playing. It was there until 1967 when the hospital moved to 2nd & Bryant.

Headlining our stage this month is AJ Harvey!

AJ is a proud indigenous, singer songwriter from Norman, Oklahoma. He represents the Ponca and Pawnee Nations of Oklahoma and the Hidatsa tribe of North Dakota. He has had multiple accomplishments including a feature on season 25 of NBC's The Voice, made his film debut as "Charlie Whitehorn" in "Killers Of The Flower Moon" in 2023 and on FX's "The Lowdown" His music is a blend of modern pop/rock songwriting, with driving guitar sound.
