💠 SPIRITUALLY 💠

OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO - link in bio!

✨out now ✨

#happyvalentinesday to all my scorned baddies who are aching over indifferent semi-sociopathic “lovers” - someday you are going to choose people who choose YOU and train your brain not to equate love with unpredictability which is the common theme of this song; I hope you enjoy!

Many many many thanks to the talented and amazing @pansyisinsane (@avoidinyou) for shooting and directing this visual. Special shout out to @aaronpantsonfire (@avoidinyou) for assistant directing/shooting and for my fave ever @boycalledtommy (@minatoretheband) for the graphics & subtitles. This was an immense & heartfelt labor of love and I am truly grateful to have had such an amazing team behind this song that is so important to me. Most importantly, I had so much fun galavanting around Brooklyn getting these amazing shots xo

Please like/share/drop a comment 🙏 and let me know your thoughts on this Valentine’s Day.

((Also shout out to @chriskrasnow for additional production/bass/guitars/mix on the track as always!))

🤍 Thank you thank you thank you! 🤍

AI feels like the weird, socially awkward, closeted psychopaths’ revenge on the cool artsy chick who rejected him in high school, yes or yes? #antiai #datacenters #aisucks #noai #artistsagainstai taken in Brooklyn, New York by @citrisofficial

My heart mourns Allyson Bellink, my former studio composition professor who was the reason for my getting into the music composition program at all.

I auditioned at the ripe age of 18, and apparently, once my audition was completed, she was the one out of the other two professors to push my application forward in spite of my very little music theory background. She gave me a chance and saw me for the musician and songwriter I am despite others.

She always told me to never forget her if I ever get “big and famous”. Her support, her love of teaching, talent, and big personality will never be forgotten.

Sometimes I think about how the first person to give me a chance, was a trans woman. I think that’s powerful 💜

You will be sorely missed but never ever forgotten, and when I do hit big time - I will absolutely shout you out. I hope your hear my call from Heaven.

Love,
You former student, Angelina by @citrisofficial

2016 <> 2026

2016 was all about playing as many shows as possible, having a lot of fun in the sun, working lots of odd jobs and generally going head first into a world of unknown, blindly, but enthusiastically. Lots of decisions and actions were made but not all of them intentional or responsible. But it was organized chaos and beauty at its finest.

2026 is all about reintegrating what was good about 2016 except making those decisions with more intentionality and consistency. Yes, more music is to come and more shows are to come as well but this time it’s about redefining and reshaping what Citris is from a live performance aspect, embracing a new sound that has been developed for the past few years, and solidifying my independence on various levels. I’d like for 2026 to be 2016 2.0.

I don’t care if I’m 50 yrs old and I’m still promoting the songs I’ve released back in 2022… timeline = irrelevant. Authenticity = hertz go crazy. Song: “Spiritually” - Citris. Date of picture taken: who cares, it’s art.

P.S. - new song release coming soon
