My #artvsartist2025! It's the post where I say a lot of the same things as last year, like "wow I didn't draw much, hope I can do more next year!". It's probably been the year that I painted the least 😭 A shame but it's hard when you feel like you have to keep making new products all the time (even though I'm super proud of those too!).

Small shout out to art fight though, I joined in with that for the first time this year and made 10 attacks! Which is more than I thought I'd accomplish. It was so much fun and a great way to push myself.

Who knows how 2026 will go art-wise but I'll say it anyway: I hope I can paint way more!! Every time I post these I'm so nostalgic for that 2022 one (the second to last), so it would be really cool to capture that feeling again. I've built up such a list of art ideas that I'm really excited about so! Maybe!!

If there's any subject matter or product you'd like to see from me I'd love to hear it! Thank you for sticking around for another year! 🌟 #artvsartist #watercolour #animalart by @citrus_sapling

Good news for natural history fans, our stamp rally will be back for this upcoming MCM! But this time with a new theme 🌊 Really excited about the prize pack we've put together it looks so good!! More info and extinct creatures coming soon

This guy is Fanjingshania renovata! It's the oldest known jawed vertebrate, living around 440 million years ago. It's covered in spines and bony armour, chunks of which it was able to regenerate if damaged. Despite this shark-like ability, their skeletons are more similar to bony fish.

It gets it's name from a neaby mountain in the province it was discovered (Fanjingshan), so I wanted to include a bit of that in the painting ⛰️ #paleoart #seacreatures #watercolour #watercolorartists by @citrus_sapling

Seconds sale is finally here again! Meant to get round to this earlier in the year but here we are. There's a variety of bundles plus a few individual listings so there's a good amount to browse!

All seconds have some minor imperfections, but are still perfectly functional! If you don't mind some small issues this is a great way to grab some goodies really cheap. Stock is very limited and these go quick!

As well as all the seconds, I have some stock I would love to clear out so there's a few more deals (no imperfections on these):
• Socks in size large, get a bundle of 3 or 4 designs at a discount (only two left of the octopus design so be quick if you'd like all 4)
• Buy a tote and add two badges for free
• Beanies reduced from £20 to £12! Ready for autumn and winter

The buffet is open 🐋 it's a whale fall! Whale carcasses are so nutrient rich that they can support a whole ecosystem of deep sea creatures. Scavengers like the the ones pictured here will consume the soft tissue within a few months, the surrounding sediment will support worms and crustaceans for a couple of years, and the bones go on to enrich the environment for up to 50 years as they're broken down by other organisms. A really interesting part of the food chain!! #watercolour #seacreatures #whalefall #octopusart #whaleart by @citrus_sapling

Fruit bat patisserie! I drew these guys a little while ago but forgot to post them. You might have noticed them on a new washi tape 👀 but I'm thinking they'd be really cute for a mini sticker sheet too? The sando one is my absolute favourite... just a fruit bat and their sando 😭 A few more of these to come!! #fruitbat #fruitbats #batsofinstagram by @citrus_sapling

Even though I was painting this as fast as I could I got a few clips of the process (always have to film the tape peeling). Prints already up too 🌿✨ #witchhatatelierfanart #witchhatatelier #brushbuddy #watercolour #wha by @citrus_sapling

A guy chilling in the shade 🌿 Yes I'm also not immune to brushbuddy, but as a weird little creature it falls within my usual subjects!! Wasn't the last shot of the finale super cool? Had me pulling out my hair even though I have read it and know what happens 🥲 Anyone thinking of picking up the manga I highly recommend!! I've also already put prints of this up 👀✨ #witchhatatelier #witchhatatelierfanart #brushbuddy #watercolor #wha by @citrus_sapling
