Congratulations to our Week #3 (Sept. 13th-Sept. 9th) Athletes of the Week sponsored by @raisingcanes, freshman Mackenzie Aguilar of Women’s Water Polo and sophomore Noah Rodriguez of Men’s Cross Country.

Aguilar, a freshman utility player out of Bonita High School, led the Owls with four goals, six steals, four exclusions drawn, and an assist. Her best game came against Bakersfield College when she scored three of those four goals and took the ball away four times against Bakersfield College. Aguilar is currently the team’s leading goal scorer and is leading the way for Citrus Women’s Water Polo who was on hiatus last season.

Rodriguez, a sophomore harrier out of Golden Valley Charter School in Ventura, has gotten off to a literal hot start this season for the Owl cross country program. Rodriguez finished 12th out of 172 runners at last week’s 2026 Golden West Central Park Classic, finishing the four-mile course in a time of 21:20.3. In Citrus’ three previous races, Rodriguez finished in 10th, 8th, and 7th place respectively.
