September 4th.

I’m starting to notice that late summer in Italy has a very specific kind of weight.

The heat still hangs in the air, heavy and slow, but the days are shorter. The sun drops early, leaving these sudden, cool evenings in its place.

It feels like a season holding its breath, pretending it isn’t about to end.
