Make plans to dispose of all expired and unused medications at CVS Pharmacy. Do not save unused pain meds for future use; they could end up in the wrong hands. Come next Saturday, October 24th, between 9am to 1pm, and safely dispose of your extra medications! by @cityofalpineut

Join us October 26 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. for our annual Trick or Treat on Main Street!

Local businesses will line Main Street and the adjacent parking lots between the roundabout and City Hall to hand out treats to our little ghouls and goblins.

Traffic Notice: Main Street will be completely closed to vehicle traffic during the event. Please plan ahead and avoid the area if you are not attending.

A big thank-you to the AF Chamber of Commerce and Lone Peak Business Alliance for hosting this fun community event! by @cityofalpineut

For full agenda & packet, see www.alpineut.gov/CCAgenda

Meeting etiquette and rules are included below and can also be accessed at www.alpineut.gov/MeetingRules
___________
PUBLIC MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING ETIQUETTE

Please remember all public meetings and public hearings are recorded.
• All commenters must be recognized by the Chairperson before speaking.
• When speaking to the Planning Commission/City Council, please stand, speak slowly and clearly into the microphone, and state your name and street name (not house number) for the record.
• Be respectful to others and refrain from disruptions during the meeting. Please do not have conversations with other audience members as the microphones are very sensitive and can pick up whispers in the back of the room.
• Avoid expressing verbal approval or disapproval of the ongoing discussion (i.e., booing or applauding).
• Exhibits (photos, petitions, etc.) given to the City become the property of the City.
• Please silence all cellular phones, beepers, pagers, or other noise making devices.
• Be considerate of others who wish to speak by being concise and avoid repetition of what has already been said. Comments are typically limited to 2 or 3 minutes, and group representatives may be limited to 5 minutes. Please keep your comments constructive.
• Refrain from holding discussions near the doors or in the lobby area outside the council room as it can be very noisy and disruptive. If you must have conversations in this area, please be as quiet as possible. (The doors must remain open during a public meeting/hearing.)

Public Hearing vs. Public Meeting
If the meeting is a public hearing, the public may participate during that time and may present opinions and evidence about the issue for which the hearing is being held. In a public hearing there may be some restrictions on participation, such as time limits.

Anyone can observe a public meeting, but there is no right to speak or be heard there. The public may participate in presenting opinions and evidence at the pleasure of the Chairperson conducting. by @cityofalpineut

Due to the recent, much-needed rains, many of our trails are muddy. Please avoid those areas to help keep them in good condition.

Remember…if you leave a mark, it’s time to turn back. Muddy hoof, shoe, or wheel tracks cause lasting damage and require significant time and money to repair. Your cooperation helps keep our trails safe, beautiful, and usable for everyone. by @cityofalpineut

UPDATE: Alpine Highway (at 800 South) is open but they will be working on the power pole repair today. There may be occasional stoppages as needed by the crew.

Be aware!! Accident on Alpine Hwy just north of 800 South. The road is currently closed in both directions. Rocky Mountain power will be on scene fixing the power pole. Avoid the area if possible. #lonepeakpolice by @cityofalpineut
