Whether you're heading out for trick-or-treating, showing off your costume, or enjoying a spooky night with family and friends, we hope your evening is filled with plenty of treats and happy memories! As ghosts, goblins, and superheroes make their way through our neighborhoods tonight, let's all do our part to keep Halloween safe for everyone. Here are a few friendly reminders: 🍬 For Trick-or-Treaters & Families ▪ Use sidewalks and designated crosswalks whenever possible. Look both ways and watch for turning vehicles before crossing. ▪ Make costumes easier to see by adding reflective tape or carrying glow sticks and flashlights. ▪ Choose costumes and accessories that allow for clear visibility and safe movement. ▪ Young children should be accompanied by a responsible adult, and older children should travel in groups and stick to familiar, well-lit areas. 🚗 For Drivers ▪ Slow down and use extra caution in neighborhoods, especially during trick-or-treating hours. ▪ Watch carefully for children and families crossing streets, particularly near intersections and driveways. ▪ Avoid distractions and stay alert for pedestrians who may be difficult to see after dark. ▪ Be patient and give everyone a little extra room to get around safely. 🧡 A little extra caution helps keep the Halloween fun going! Look out for one another, stay safe, and have a spooktacular Halloween, Pleasanton! #HappyHalloween #PleasantonCA #CityofPleasanton #PleasantonPolice #HalloweenSafety by @cityofpleasantonca

Behind every business is a story of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to the community they serve.    At last night’s City Council meeting, we had the pleasure of recognizing Pleasanton businesses celebrating milestone anniversaries. From 15 years to 50 years, these milestones represent years of serving customers, creating jobs, building relationships, and contributing to the community we are proud to call home.   Our local businesses are more than the goods and services they provide. They are part of the fabric of Pleasanton, helping shape our community, strengthen our local economy, and make our City a special place to live, work, and visit.   👏 To the businesses recognized, congratulations on these incredible milestones! We’re grateful you’re part of Pleasanton, and we look forward to celebrating many more milestones together! 💚    🔗 Visit the link in our bio for the full list of milestone anniversary honorees!   #inPleasanton #CityofPleasanton #SupportLocal #PleasantonCA by @cityofpleasantonca
Why are Pleasanton's sewer rates changing? 💧 Over the past seven years, Pleasanton's residential sewer rates have increased by $5.58 total, averaging approximately $0.80 per year. While these historically low adjustments helped keep rates stable, they have not fully accounted for the growing costs of maintaining the City's sewer system. Like utilities throughout California, Pleasanton faces rising costs for labor, materials, equipment, and energy, along with evolving regulatory requirements. The City has also identified critical sewer infrastructure improvements needed over the next four years. The proposed sewer rate changes would help address these challenges, maintain aging infrastructure, and reduce the risk of costly repairs and service disruptions. 👉 Learn more about the proposed changes at PleasantonWater.com/SewerRates. #CityofPleasanton #PleasantonSewerRateUpdate by @cityofpleasantonca
How can measure HH revenue be used? Measure HH is one component of the City’s broader strategy to address its structural operating budget deficit and support City services and programs. Following financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach, the City Council placed Measure HH on the November 3, 2026, ballot for Pleasanton voters to consider. If approved, additional Hotel Tax revenue would be deposited into the City’s General Fund and can be used for police and fire protection, park and street maintenance, recreation programs, and other general government uses.
