It’s been a minute…

Well, 10 years to be exact. I was 17 years old when I performed in my last musical. I was 11 or 12 years old when I started my theatre journey , and performing on the stage quickly became a huge passion of mine. A little detour later…

I always knew I wanted to perform again in some capacity. Ironically, I’ve said for YEARS that if I ever had the honor of being in a show again that I had already done, I wanted to be in “Fiddler on the Roof.” Not only is it one of my favorite musicals (movies) of all time, but it means so much to my family and I.

I never expected that I’d have that chance again, but here we are. I am SO excited to be part of a production again, and can’t wait for more auditions to come. The first of many… I’m back 😃🎻 I have missed being on stage SOOOOOOO much!

Now that I cleaned up my feed and am back to posting on here… I can start to share the amazing headshots @brandonreed.sports did for me when I lived in Pittsburgh!

Here’s a little life update!!

I have been working as a music therapist in a private practice setting since June 2023 in Florida. I’m very thankful to work with supportive staff, and amazing clients. I truly love what I do! Private practice is so interesting because you work with a wide range of clientele and no two days are the same.

Also… I now have a Masters Degree! My masters is in music therapy, but I added a concentration in clinical mental health counseling. The plan is to accrue hours working in the field as an intern in the mental health counseling field so that in 2-3 years time, I am able to sit for my boards, and become a licensed mental health counselor.

As for musical theatre… I haven’t been in a production since high school (both in school and through community theatre). Honestly, my academics in college and post grad have been such a focus of mine the last 7-8 years that I have not prioritized auditioning as much. Now that life is slowly settling down from graduation, I’m really hoping to look around the Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater/Largo areas for auditioning opportunities.

I miss singing (outside of work) 😥

Hoping to post more soon… honestly I’m having a crisis and want to delete this page and start over LOL. I go through these phases so much it’s annoying. I get it.

But I haven’t posted on this page in so long… I want to make it more of a priority in the new year! As a music therapist, I often don’t play for enjoyment anymore, outside of the therapeutic space. My New Year’s resolution is to get back to songwriting, singing for ME, and possibly gigging out around the town.
