Art has always come naturally to me, and I drew for my friends and family my whole life. Before my injury, I was an amateur boxer with Olympic hopes and I loved working as a baker making pastries.

In 1991, I was shot by a random stranger while waiting for a bus to get to work. It ended my boxing career and left me an incomplete paraplegic. I wear braces on my legs so I can stand, but I'm mostly in my wheelchair now.

Even with my disability, I kept working for many years at a Jewish bakery doing what I loved. One day I had a bad fall that tore my left bicep.

Now retired, I'm still working out for me, and I'm painting. I've made some beautiful paintings over the years and I'm finally sharing them here.

I think this is just about finished, although I'm never quite satisfied. Most of this painting was done with a palette knife and some decorating bags. I spent years working as a Baker, making all kinds of pastries and cakes. I've been wanting to find a way to merge those skills with my art. The impasto, the layering, the control you get with a bag.. it just clicked! 🏔️👁️🌲 by @cjerolin1

This is Mr. Big Stuff, acrylic on canvas. He didn't just cross the road, he took it over.😁🐓Painting every feather took me forever, I love how the colors turned out and that bright red comb, the long dirt road back to the red barn. Original 36x36, prints available. I'll be showing more of him.😊 by @cjerolin1

Digital mockup here ready for printing. Painted this magnolia years ago and still love coming back to it. White magnolias have always felt like quiet strength to me, soft but so resilient. I built up the center bud a little so it pops off the canvas. This was my attempt to capture that. 🎨😊 by @cjerolin1
