Teamwork makes the dream work!

Our #PhotoOfTheWeek captures members of the SWOAD (Ship Without Air Detachment) Team assisting the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in preparing the embarked Canadian Coast Guard Bell 429 GlobalRanger helicopter on the flight deck of HMCS Robert Hampton Gray during Operation NANOOK-NUNAKPUT.

Behind every successful mission is a team of dedicated people working together. By sharing their skills, supporting one another, and stepping up when needed, members help keep operations running smoothly and demonstrate that teamwork truly is one of our greatest strengths.

Firepower with precision.

Throwback to Multinational Brigade Latvia showing some real firepower at the range this summer during routine zeroing drills. Canadian and allied armour showed off their skills. Our armoured contingent is one of many contributions and modern capabilities the Canadian Army is providing to the Brigade.

Move then dress!

“Emergency Flying Stations” is a high-intensity damage control drill Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) warships, like HMCS Regina, conduct to maintain readiness in the event of an aircraft emergency at sea.

Even while deployed to the Indo-Pacific region on Operation HORIZON, HMCS Regina and its crew are sharpening their skills and refining core practices by keeping up with this crucial routine training.

This dedication to continuous improvement is what enables HMCS Regina and other RCN ships to safely and effectively respond in the unlikely event of an emergency at sea, keeping the ship afloat and the mission moving.

Live-fire from the skies, ready to defend at sea.

While deployed to the Indo-Pacific region on Operation HORIZON, HMCS Regina’s embarked CH-148 Cyclone, callsign BRONCO, recently conducted live-fire training with the C6 General Purpose Machine Gun as part of Exercise PACIFIC VANGUARD 2026.

Equipped with a door-mounted C6, the CH-148 Cyclone provides a key capability boost, expanding self-defence, surface surveillance, and force protection options for His Majesty’s Canadian Ships deployed in complex maritime environments.

These high-tempo live-fire drills aren't just practice; they’re how the @rcaf_arc and @royalcannavy maintain operational readiness and promote regional peace and security together at sea.

#InternationalDayForDisasterRiskReduction 🔥🌊❄️🌪️

Today, we recognize the importance of reducing disaster risks and strengthening community resilience.

Preparedness begins at the local, municipal, provincial, and territorial levels, where authorities lead efforts to prevent, respond to, and recover from natural disasters.

Through #OpLENTUS, the Canadian Armed Forces can provide support when requested by governments and when military capabilities are needed to complement civilian response efforts. #TriviaTuesday 🤔💡

Did you know the Canadian Armed Forces has a station in one of the most isolated places on Earth? 🌎

Can you guess the Canadian province or territory where CFS Alert is stationed?

Hint: Latitude: 82°N A rectangular building covered in snow at Canadian Forces Station Alert in the High Arctic. A large sign on the front of the building reads "Canadian Forces Station ALERT" and identifies it as the northernmost permanent settlement on Earth. The sun is low behind the building, creating a bright glow against the snowy landscape. by @cjoc_coic

Esquimalt, they’re home! ⚓️🇨🇦

After sailing approximately 30,000 nautical miles since leaving Esquimalt in June, @hmcs.ncsmottawa is finally home!

From RIMPAC 2026 and working alongside allies and partners across the Indo-Pacific, to supporting Canada’s defence in northern waters, the crew had one busy deployment.

Today, family, friends and shipmates were there to welcome them home and celebrate their return.

Welcome home, HMCS Ottawa!

📍 Saglek, Newfoundland and Labrador

On Operation NANOOK-QIMAAVIVUT, Royal Canadian Air Force and German Air Force (Luftwaffe) teams conducted an airfield surface assessment and reconnaissance in Saglek, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Alongside them, Canadian Rangers from 5 Canadian Ranger Patrol Group conducted wildlife patrols, helping keep the assessment team safe as they worked.
