How it finished (in my studio) and how it started (@musicboxsd for @mitchum.yacoub band). When I asked Mitchum “what are your inspirations for your music?”, he told me “dignified yet animalistic human animal connection.” I work well with these parameters.
The burning building on the the left is/was Shajareh Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab Iran. The United States military bombed this school and killed over 100 schoolgirls in February of this year. Translated to English it means “THE GOOD/PURE TREE.” This atrocity was committed day 1 of the “war” between U.S.military and Iran.
All the watermelon imagery and #kufiya #keffiya (folded cloth in suit pocket) is in support of Palestine. All day everyday.
Do better Americans, collectively we must get angrier and give more value to love.
OVERSTAND better humans. #overstand learn it live it.
We made a small run of 12x12” prints, let me know if you’re interested. Shoutout to the best print man in the world Roger @evolve_digital for not only the quality prints but also giving me that piece-o-cardboard this is painted on. Full circle type ish.❤️🌍 by @cjtroxellart

“SURF IN GAZA” (24x36” acrylic on canvas). Gaza has 25 miles of coast. GAZA is also currently buried under an estimated 150 billion pounds of debris. That’s phosphorus falling from drones above, burns the skin on contact, a chemical weapon. That’s an AI bot dog (?) in the debris programmed to prey on humans. Yet, Palestinians still surf.
Top left is a painted rendition of Tatreez, which is a traditional Palestinian style of hand stitched which reads, in English, “SEEDS.” Originally hand stitched by the homie @jnugyen he’s a good human. The flora is all watermelon plant, and the caterpillars and butterfly are indigenous to the region. The key bottom left represents a return to home that was taken.
C’mon humans , we can do better than this, I know. I’ll have prints, proceeds will be given to those who need it. Link in bio or hit me up here however works. by @cjtroxellart

“Choose your own trauma” (24x28”). u know, like choose your own adventure books, remember those? Irony being trauma seems to find/choose us, so this is more a rear view mirror trauma assessment/projection in colors and shapes. This is an older piece, the original title was something along the lines of “all American boy.” Looks like AI but I don’t f with that. by @cjtroxellart

“Sh%t I am.” (36x36” acrylic on wood). Had a lot of fun with this one, many people did, too many to mention. Started at @joshuatreemusicfestival as a live painting finished in my studio. Don’t be afraid, look down. Free that ass, your mind WILL follow. Alternative title “PORTAL POTTY.” by @cjtroxellart

Along with mediocre carpentry, All my frames come with a message. It was a secret (the message bit), yet here we are. I suppose some secrets should be shared before they disappear.
RAMBLING JACK ELLIOT is as good as it gets in my book.

BTW this is NOT “AI content” as it says at the top. Anyone know why IG would label it that? by @cjtroxellart

Fun desert inspired magnets on found road reflectors. Each (reflector) indicates something different; blue means a fire hydrants near by, all yellow two way residential, yellow and red highway on/off ramp, etc.
1. primrose w/ sphinx caterpillar
2. Rolli Pollis getting it on
3. Pinacate beetle desert mallows

FRIEND. That’s the translation of the kanji character TOMODACHI painted onto these lane dividers/reflectors. The featured lovers are my favorite lils; ladybugs and roly polys/pill bugs (isopods NOT an insects). It’s baffling to me when humans think friendship isn’t at the foundation of physically intimate relationships. Like how? What? Friendship is everything. These are magnets too, as shown the in last few pics on a fridge.
$50 shipping included if you’d like one, lemme know which ❤️.
