The amazing race US kicked off in Vancouver this year. I could'nt help but think maybe the show was sending a message that, despite the foolishness of its political leaders, Americans appreciate their Canadian neighbours. I 'd like to think so. The premiere made a deliberate point of including a welcome from local Indigenous representatives (the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations). It will take a long time to heal things with America but its a start. by @ckilfoilcanada
