Epic day at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival! It was an honor to kickoff the downtown stage at this iconic festival's 40th edition, and the crowd's energy was surreal. Our thanks to @sara_magal , @liammacdonaldmusic , and @connor_lum for lending their talents to this show; we truly value your contribution, frogs.

Nanã, também conhecida como Nanã Buruquê, é, de acordo com a mitologia iorubá, a mãe da criação e a mais antiga dos orixás femininos. Por esse motivo, ela simboliza a sabedoria e a experiência da velhice. O maestro Moacir Santos compartilha sua experiência pessoal na composição desta canção, afirmando: "Bem, eu estava meditando à beira d’água e, como num sonho ou visão, vi Nanã vindo em minha direção: ‘Você viu Nanã? Você viu Nanã?’". A nossa interpretação desse tema também se inspira na versão do mestre Edison Machado, um grande baterista cuja obra, assim como a de Moacir Santos, é uma fonte essencial de inspiração pra nós.
